Magento has one of the most extensive features lists you will ever find in terms of ecommerce software. Though it's not easy to use at all. Magento is a great platform for a shop that you know will do well. If you're an ultra-small business making your first move into e-commerce, there may well be less heavyweight solutions that can do the job. But if you are getting big, you would love to have it...

Making a store for your business is always please while working with Mangento. 2.x brings a lots of security and amaze things.
Customization can be done to any extent. Moreover there are extensions available for everything.
Changing the whole strucute from 1.x to 2.x was bit irritated but now since it is going smoothly, I am good with it.

Magento falls in the category of people with professional web development experience, and although intermediate level developers can most definitely handle Magento, it's generally implemented by medium to large e-commerce sites with some cash to spend on a web person or department. That said, keep reading to learn more about what Magento can offer you. Magento has one of the most extensive features...

Magento has great feature and allows adding products with diversified options, It can handle large number of products, orders & customers, Overall great
Extensions / Plugin installation is a little complex process and need to hire some programmer which increases cost of Extensions / Plugin in Magento.

Our current ecommerce website is a Magento site. It's somewhat easy to update products.
The site takes quite a bit of time to load/save at times.

All the tools inside the software for ecommerce.
For additional features you need extensions that are not suitable with every version of Magento.

It's a good platform for e-commerce! Very easy to use and simple. However you need to pay more to get more advance features and upgrade it.
- Easy to create and manage products and stocks - Easy to manage prices and discounts - Easy to monitor profits and COGS - There's a free access
- You should pay for more advance features

It's powerful and robust, with a solid mix of user-friendly CMS-based functionality and the capacity to expand and customize via code.
All that flexibility can also make the product extremely unwieldy and difficult to maintain without establishing strict protocols and conducting extensive onboarding training

The best ecommerce software on the web. By far the most versatile.
Need to be technically proficient to use Magento as it can be complex.

We can take products from our inventory unless them for sale very efficiently. It is easy to customize and present different payment options.
This is extremely customizable and lets you build just about anything you want on top of your store. The front end is very modern and user-friendly.
This e-commerce engine is notorious for being difficult to maintain. Even with the free version, you end up spending a lot of money on developers and maintenance to keep things running properly.

Files and folders format, the best system for SEO and for expanding new categories. So many tools and resources that you can do almost anything
Very complex, does take a while to get used to. A long time to get everything setup initially, however once it is, everything runs smoothly and it makes future tasks a lot easier. No other cons, it's everything you could need in an ecommerce CMS along as you are tech savy and understand folders and page value.

The company manages several online stores - all of them are created in CMS Magento, and edited there. A very convenient system for this: prices and discounts are configured here. Moreover, several stores are managed from one center - the administrative panel.
However, the design and addition of certain payment systems in Magento can not be done - an additional group is allocated for this. The software is not friendly to the beginner: you have to understand a lot.

It is good as i have used this software more than once.
If you want security of your data then you need to use a framework and fortunately Magento is open source. You don't need to pay to use this software. All you need is php basic syntax and some coding skills and it will provides you security to your data and your structure of project will be organised. So if you are using this software you must use some framework.
It is specified to one language and it sometimes have crashing issue. It got crash sometimes unnecessary. Other than this it is a good framework to work with.

Perfect. Really nice solution for your ecommerce. Recommended for high volume ecommerce websites.
By far the best solution for enabling your ecommerce. Best option is to use community version and hire an agency to develop your own website.
Requires a Pro to support, update and develop

- extremely customizable due to a multitude of plugins available (both paid and free, but paid ones are usually worth it) - comes in the enterprise as well as standard options (we usually use enterprise for our customers, because it offers even more customization and features) - convenient to use for developers - works great for large ecommerce stores
- might not be the easiest to understand if you are an average user and don't know anything about coding. - might not be a cost-effective option for smaller e-stores, because it's not free, but if you are planning to grow your business, Magento would provide ample ground for that.

I have many clients who use this CMS for their website.
My favorite aspect is the options available for the range of different sites especially ecommerce sites.
My least favorite thing is how difficult it is to change technical SEO functions compared to WooCommerce.

A powerful piece of software for the backend of your website. Extremely useful for e-commerce, makes the whole thing easier.
Can be a little confusing where things are. I think the number of menu items could be reduced without removing features.

Easy to use point-and-click button setup for programming web page back end functionality. Can be as simple or complex as the user wants.
Some glitchiness to programming options, susceptible to hackers and "bots" subscribing to email notices.

Open source and free for the community version make this a great platform for those on a budget that want lots of customization
For non-technical store owners, you'll face issues at some point that you won't be able to fix and will have to hire help.

Magento is a very popular CMS, but it's not worth it to develop small on-line stores. In other respects, the software complex allows you to make an Internet store of any complexity, and if necessary its functionality can be expanded with the help of modules.
The interface of this CMS is difficult to call simple and intuitive - for the first time the eyes all run. The second negative point is the high cost of maintaining the system.

The most powerful eCommerce platform out there. The amount of features that are beyond a simple e-shop was the reason we chose to implement the eCommerce solution for our client using Magento. The platform gives you a shopping cart and eShop that is connected to most of the major payment options (you still need to do some basic operations to connect payment gateways and get the proper codes). From there, you will also be able to implement for analytics, advertising solutions. We managed through one workshop to educate our client on how to use the backend and they managed to cruise through 6 months with only a few calls and follow ups since then.
If you are looking for a simply click-to-setup and customize eCommerce platform then I advise you to use Shopify or other platforms. While Magento is easy to use, customizing it is quite hard and requires the help of web developers. The price change compared to what the reviews mentioned came at a surprise for us, but I am guessing they are now trying to target Medium to Large businesses instead of SMEs

I love CMS Magento for the fact that on this platform you do not need to manually develop design versions for different screen formats. The design on Magento automatically adjusts to the width, so it looks equally good on smartphones, computers and tablets.
CMS Magento works mainly on templates. There is no way to make a unique design. Because of this, all sites on this platform are very similar to each other.

My team and I created an online store. We had high demands in terms of quality. From friends we learned that it is most convenient to do an online store on CMS Magento, because there I can quickly connect payment services. In general, this turned out to be true. Unless with the connection PayPal had to torment.
CMS Magento is designed for large online stores. It has many functions and modules that help make a convenient service. But all this requires a lot of resources. We needed a terribly expensive hosting in order for the online website to withstand the load.

Great e-commerce CMS allowing for orderly product, vendor and client management.
Very rich in extensions and features almost making it impossible for developers to fail to meet their client's project scopes and expectations. Given that the multi vendor features are setup perfectly and are functioning as desired it gives a very stable system.
Seems to be difficult and slow to run from the localhost as it requires a powerful server. I think this can be considered by the software developer team to allow for better a localhost environment to allow for better testing before live production.
