It's not the same as it was before. Now there's too many peddlers and beggars.
Being able to see notifications on safety issues in the neighbourhood
Too many people are now using the app to ask locals for money. There's no morderation. There's no ratings of the services.

My overall experience with Nextdoor is great. You connect to your neighbors in ways you never thought possible. Its helps get news around the neighborhood, lost/found pets back home, yard sales or other fun events taking place right in your neighborhood so interactive & easy to find what you need.
The interactions with neighbors is what I like most about the Nextdoor app. Its a great way to welcome your new neighbors.
The spam/advertisements that appear in between every interactions/post is what I like least about the Nextdoor appl

Great experience of receiving updates about my neighborhood
I use this app to get updates about my neighborhood. It’s also a great platform to receive alerts from MPD.
The app serves its purpose. Nothing really bad about it

The Nextdoor app is great for quickly and easily finding out what’s going on in your neighborhood. Mostly I really like the tried-and-true service recommendations. The app is intuitive and has a lot of different ways to communicate/participate and feel like you’re part of a community. The text alerts and email updates are my favorite features to always stay in the know.
A LOT of people enjoy complaining in the newsfeed section. If you’re able to get past that, there’s actually quite a bit useful information all in one place!

I find it a wonderful tool! It has more features than I thought when I first joined.
I love that the community is connected and can watch out for each other in this way. I have seen warnings about burglary and suspicious persons on it and was very appreciative to have had the heads up.
I think there could be some more categories for people to connect. For example, there could be a chess or book club category.

It is very easy to start a conversation with people in your neighborhood about local issues. We have found the best deals on trash service, cable and internet through this app. It really is helpful to me.
I enjoy the "welcome" function. When someone new joins the neighborhood (and introduces themselves) it is simple to "welcome" them instead of writing out a comment. I feel like that makes people feel welcome without overwhelming them.
It is very difficult to find a post by searching keywords. And I would prefer to be able to block certain neighborhoods from my news feed, but I cannot do that. The emails that I get are not consistent or up-to-date.

I got attacked by a troll and they took down my account for 3 days. Now I can't get through the verification process to log back on. I need to disable my acct.
Not much. Once in a while someone will post a video before it shows on the news. Rarely though.
The amount of rude people and trolls. The community attacks left and right wing depending on your status if it goes along with their narrative.

I love it and it is such a helpful app to post everything from lost and found to resources.
I love being able to keep up with my neighbors and communicate in a quick and efficient way! So nice!
The gossip like any social media can be frustrating but definitely not the next door apps fault there!

I think Nextdoor is a fine app, a front runner with the other social media apps. I do like how it's more relatable to my real life, because it is for the physical neighborhood in which I live.
I really like how this social media site has a feeling like Facebook. Mostly smooth with comparable features and functionality. One benefit to other social networking sites, is that Nextdoor is for my neighborhood specifically. It's an easy way to connect to my neighbors without the additional noise as on the other apps. I really like how there's a "lost and found" section and another for "sale and free items".
I did find this software to feel busy. There are a lot of options that do feel like a sort of overhead, and I don't think I would ever use. These are things like a map of my neighborhood, a business section, and real estate. Some may use them, but for me, it's just extra that I don't have the option hide. Overall, I don't feel the software is as intuitive as something like Facebook.

If you're looking for a social networking site that it specifically focused on your neighborhood, then Nextdoor is for you. I'm not a big social media person, nor am I terrible interested in interacting with my neighbors in this way, but I can see the value for some. I prefer face-to-face communication. The best thing is when people reach out for local help. That seems to be a huge benefit.
The biggest issue is that people like to be busy-bodies and the same things that creep into other forms of social media are present here, too.

Overall, a good product. Be careful, some users are over the top and put way too much info/opinion into their posts.
There are lots of benefits of using Nextdoor, especially if you live in an active neighborhood. You can learn a lot about what is going on around you. Security updates about the neighborhood are helpful.
It can be clumsy to move around on the app. It is not as user friendly as it could be.

Absolutely terrible. Biased and a waste of time
I liked neighbors sharing help advice and opiniona
Biased volunteers who over moderate and use person feeling to delete posts and comments. They can delete whatever they want regardless of the guidelines. No point in having a forum where people can’t express themselves.

It's a great way to communicate outside of Facebook for a community.
As a business, it is difficult to engage with the community and advertising is pricey for what you get.

I love using Nextdoor to catch up on events going on in the community and will continue to use the software!
I enjoy being able to catch up on what is going on in the community. Nextdoor allows me to stay up to date on important events and future plans for the community.
I do not like that people will name call and degrade others on their posts.

Nextdoor is a cool platform to connect with local residents, to read about local events and news.
Nextdoor has more real accounts of people in your local area. There is a close network of residents that you can connect with easily.
After spending a good amount of money on advertisements, we did not see successful results on the platform. I think people are more interested in connecting with local residents and buying used items.

A great start at creating better community in our neighbourhood.
Love that this is a way to get connected with my neighbourhood and stay aware of what's happening. Love the ability to ask for recommendations for quality companies for repair/household jobs. A great starting point to connect, that hopefully leads to lots more of saying hi to neighbours and a more community feel wherever you are.
It can feel a little spammy sometimes - I'm not always sure what the guidelines are, and some posts look like paid or sponsored posts, which makes it feel less community, and more like a flyer.

My overall experience after a week's worth of effort has been abysmal. Since others are reporting exactly the same issues, I'll likely just delete my profile and move on. Small business owners don't have time to mess around with software that doesn't function properly.
I can't get it to operate well enough to know what might be good about it. I set this up upon the encouragement of others in my local area.
I set this up a week ago and although I cannot get it to work even after visiting their Facebook page for advice, only to find that many others are having the same challenges, this still isn't functional. I can't see any activity in my community, the app fails and locks up. Meanwhile the emails keep pouring in encouraging me to pay for advertising on this site.

My overall experience with Nextdoor is amazing. I would 100% recommend this app to a friend.
I loved the most on how Nextdoor is easy to setup and use. I got my account up and ready in less than 10 minutes.
I don't like how sometimes, my feed would get spammed because people would post multiple feeds at one time.

Worse than herpes that you can’t get rid of.
NOTHING. This app is worth less than when I initially tried it a year ago. It added nothing then, but has become a pest since then.
Cannot not turn off the email notifications. I get dozens per day, have ‘inscribed’ each time for 2 weeks, and yet they pour in.

I use this app a lot, to see what is happing around me.
This is a FREE app to keep up with new in the neighborhood. If you are missing your dog, you can post and try to find help to locate.
I wish you can sort by importance. Some of the feed is just junk. Not able to use a map to location close neighbors.

OVERALL VERY PLEASED WITH THE SOFTWARE AND IT'S FEATURES
GREAT SOFTWARE TO STAY CONNECTED AND SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND SURROUNDING AREAS
SOMETIMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD BOUNDARIES AREN'T CORRECT, AND THEY AREN'T EASY TO ADJUST ON YOUR OWN. A LITTLE FRUSTRATING.
