Good solution for very small business but...

12/11/2014

We started our business using Paypal as the only payment gateway mainly for its simplicty and the fact that it provides all you need to accept any kind of payment without the complex discussion with a bank or visa/amex. It worked great but very soon as our business grows the amount we were spending on fees was too high and forced us to look at other solutions (in our case Ogone) The API is well documented so you can integrate the payment functionality into your website easily

Pros

Simplicty All in one solution to accept any kind of payment Protection against fraud

Cons

High fees Blackbox...if a payment error occur you have no way to understand way and you may lose the sale
