I appreciate the detail given for each order and there are also great functions like discount codes which makes using the website very useful. The layout, while basic, helps make navigating simple.
Their customer service is excellent. As with any company, it isn't perfect, but they do their best to satisfy and make sure customers are happy with their product and their service.
While I had heard great things about Shopify and was excited about all the customizations it was very difficult to set up and I ended up closing my account after my free trial expired.
Pros
I do not remember seeing a single update to the interface or software. This is a great example of excellent affiliate marketing.
Regular, it is not completely to my liking, I think that programmers can improve it.
The product is well marketed through affiliates and commission. If someone recommended this product to you, it is likely they are an affiliate.
Cons
Customer service was terrible, they offered a CSV upload which was useless to me, or offered to uplaod my items for me, and charge me a crazy amount of money for the service.
Shopify is paid and when it updates itself it gives some sort of errors in the online store and finding the error is a difficult task.
The premium charges are a slight turnoff due to the monthly charges. Smaller stores will have to look over their shoulders to make sure that they make enough to cover the monthly Shopify charges.
Cons
If you do not keep track of your days, you will loose you money...These is no such thing as a free trial with 1ShoppingCart.
No instructions on how to set up an informational/digital product for instant download by the user after payment going through.
There is no graphical interface for sequence building for autoresponders which is common in all latest tools. They charge a commission for the sales you make on top of Paypal charges.
