Pros

Content Hub enables me to organize my webpages easily. It's ability to allow users to edit and publish articles and reports on the same page is fantastic.
I like that this software has multiple stages of approval before changes are published allowing you to be sure that you are publishing exactly what you want.
Content Hub allows me to maintain vital information on websites and helps me effectively communicate what I desire to my audience.

Pros

The ease of deployment is one of the best benefits. You can even auto-install it in most servers.
Easy to install, the WYSIWYG editor is good for starters and professionals. Joomla is open Source, popular and supported.
Joomla is a stable solution that has been around for many years and continues to get better and developed by the strong Joomla community.

Cons

The layout is extremely outdated and could use a fresh build. The tool itself also lacks reactivity and can be slow as hell at times.
Exceptionally unintuitive, complex with confusing and inconsistent naming conventions.
The aesthetics are outdated. I have never fully learned how to use this software because no one in my organization knows.

Cons

This tool was a threat to our profits because of those technical variants. There are so many conflicting help files and out of date tutorials, the tool has become a victim of it's own complexity.
I dislike that the PayPal plugin for it fails too frequently. I dislike that there's a color change line in the body of the web page for no good reason (light blue to a slightly darker blue).
Compatibility with certain software packages and hardware due to highly possible dishonest and cowardly development protocols from OTHER COMPANIES.

Good CMS for use in creating quick and easy web pages.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have developed many of my first web pages with a CMS, although I do not have a good content editor, I am able to develop blogs.

Pros

If you want to develop a simple and fast web page, this CMS is the best for that, since it has a simple interface where you can create interactive and dynamic contents.

Cons

It is not so easy to create the contents in this CMS since it lacks an interface for personalized content, it often brings problems when managing a page and changing the content.

Decent software for content management

Reviewed 4 years ago

Very powerful content management system

Pros

It's can be intimidating at first, but once you "get it", it becomes second nature to you- especially if you have to use it daily, as I was in my previous job. Quite straightforward and very powerful - and a lot of features a company can use when it grows. I doubt we used 10% of it.

Cons

Even for a company with 50 employees (my previous employer) it's a bit of overkill. It s ideal for large publishing house for example. Some features are added by third party plugins (K2), which can add to confusion.

Free software, excellent content management system.

Pros

Joomla is ideal for complex websites that require 3+ people to work on them. It's bit sophisticated out of the box (at least out of the box) but as soon as you get used to it (or get some training, e.g. on LinkedIn Lynda.com) - you start to like it.

Cons

Unfortunately, community of Wordpress is larger and there more developers, plug ins etc. Frankly, I personally like Joomla! but have to work with Wordpress, as it is often more easy, due to its ambiguity.

Joomla! - la! la! la!

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

This software is FREE! I started to use it for my web projects in 2009. Since then they improved it a lot. With the current selection of modules I can build the website with different level of functionality. Whenever I stuck, I went to Joomla! forums and got help immediately. After short training my clients were able to make a basic web site maintenance on their own.

Cons

Websites based on Joomla! are taking some extra time to upload their content.

Not Client Friendly

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

*My company develops and fixes websites for small business owners. A client hired us to optimize their website. They use Joomla. We are now their webmaster. There's flexibility in adjusting page layouts within the platform. From a development standpoint, it's nice that there are out of the box CMS features, but it's far less user friendly than Wordpress.

Cons

Navigation is not intuitive. Content/lingo is not user friendly. Overall, the platform is clunky and dated.

Older website builder

I would not recommend this CMS if you are trying to build a website because it is not intuitive or easy to use.

Pros

I liked that you could send out monthly newsletters using the Joomla software. For example, it kept an archive of emails and you could send out content to those emails.

Cons

Posting content on Joomla is not intuitive. It is an outdated CMS compared to wordpress or squarespace.

The software is secure and allows immediate updating of web content.

Pros

Joomla! gets the job done. I can upload photos and update the content, as needed. The user interface has a split screen setup, which is useful.

Cons

A Great CMS Software - Joomla

Reviewed 3 years ago

The difficulty of installation, some incompatibilities, lack of content on the web ... etc

Pros

Joomla is a CMS, Content Management System, which is impeccable to make total website pages with loads of modules. And I adore how natural and simple to access and flexible to create uncomplicated site pages in a dynamic and intuitive manner.

Cons

Truly, for a free program, all that Joomla offers is extremely a great deal. I'm extremely happy with what he offers. On the off chance that I truly need to discover something incorrectly, we don't have a genuine list for modules and add-ons. At that point, I see slight trouble in the event that a client demands little customizations!

I will keep using Joomla and can't recommend enough

Reviewed 3 years ago

I was able to collaborate on design changes to our corporate website with my fellow designers and developers, and overall the experience of editing, designing, previewing, and publishing content was at first a little time consuming to follow all the steps, but eventually was so easy to follow time and time again. It is a tool that myself and my colleagues continue to turn to when we have web development tasks that need to be completed and with new features continuing to be pushed out, it's never been a better time to learn how to use and train others on the program as well.

Pros

I found Joomla to be a great tool that was used as the back end engine of our customer facing website. As someone with some technical skills, I was able to learn how to use the editing tools pretty quickly, I learned how to be a user administrator and set up permissions for our customer portal to allow ease of access for customer materials - the overall set up of these features was a very stress free process.

Cons

Depending on how you've decided to use this content management tool, the process of upgrading certain features and customizing the back end user interface can be challenging when the needs arise. I find the normal challenges that I've found with similar content management tools, however there is little that I dislike from a back end user perspective.

content management system program

Reviewed 3 years ago

the system I use for a blog, a tiny office web page. has a useful interface, the page unnecessary, you do not leave a code to the company that writes code. If you prefer this infrastructure that you have designed a web site, then you can make the changes you want very easily. so your website is always up to date.

Pros

By creating a website template, it provides file management on single or multiuser computers. is a content management system that will create wonders by the person who knows how to use it correctly. comparison with other content systems is wrong.

Cons

This program needs to be upgraded continuously. This may seem like a nice feature, but converting the database invites problems. Invites the system to trouble. Also themes can be richer.
