Great tool and every sports league should use it from youth to adults.
I was new to Sports Engine a couple of years ago when my son signed up for youth basketball. The league used it for scheduling and alerts and I am so glad they did! It put everything in one place and made it easy to see when the next game was and if anything was rescheduled.
There is nothing I don't like about Sports Engine. I think it's a vital tool to use for youth sports especially.

I would recommend this product for any sports leagues you are a part of or are running!
This is super cool product that I use with my basketball league. It has on there the schedule for each team, a section to chat with teammates, send messages to the entire league and show stats for the games.
Honestly, I haven't found anything in sports engine that I don't like.

Overall, in spite of a few challenges such as slow updates, this app has been very helpful to me as a very busy mom with kids and multiple sports. It keeps my schedule easy to manage and view at any time. It also is useful to have the chat and messages features order to get a hold of teammates or coaches. If the few small issues would be resolved, it would be perfect!!
This is a busy mom’s dream. You can add multiple sports teams as your favorites, allowing you to view a daily schedule encompassing multiple sports teams.
I have noticed some small bugs with this app. Sometimes, my schedules do not update automatically. This leads to confusion. I also have had some issues with the chat feature. When someone sends a message in chat, the message appears on the home screen of my phone. The message is truncated as usual. When I click on the message or open the app to view the whole thing, Sometimes the message is not there. Even when I try to refresh the message page, the messages will not appear for several hours. This can be problematic when a message is time-sensitive.

SportsEngine keeps us "in the know" an we always feel included. We don't feel like we are missing out on any events. Definitely gets an A+!
My family loves sports. We love watching and playing. This software allows us to stay up to date on what sports are taking place in our area and when.
Rarely, there are some sporting events in our area that are not listed. As I said though, that is rare.

This has been my favorite sports app I have used with my son's sports leagues. It is super easy to use and great functions. It is up to date with great features.
I have been using for a few weeks now and I dont see anything disappointing about it yet.

I use Sports Engine to run a year-round sports club, and it is an incredible tool. It is essentially a one-stop location for both the admin need, as well as the parent/player need. Team communication can also occur on location, and user assignments such as a team or coach permissions can be added. Most all the features have some customization, and with a few link shared to parents their onboarding is a smooth process. Sports Engine covers current issues such as the safety, and helps cover all the needed items in the registration process. It leaves more time to be on the field! I actually visited with my organizations rep in their home office and we had a great Q&A.
It covers all the needed functions to run a sports program
The only draw back is the older website look. The newer design costs money.

No doubt this is probably the biggest most robust system out there, but the platform is clunky and becoming antiquated. They need a full rewrite or eventually someone will replace them with a more user friendly product.
Sports Engine has most the features you want, can handle big data, and is somewhat configurable.
It's a beast, not many volunteer organizations have the IT skill on staff required to run it properly. Trust me, this is not user friendly software.

Our overall experience with SportsEngine has been excellent. With use of this software we have converted our regular newsletter from an expensive printed format to an online format published on our website. This software has allowed us to streamline our new member enrollment and annual membership renewal by doing it all online and getting away from the endless inaccurate paper trails. All registrations for our club events and trips are more easily managed through this software, and we are able to keep track of our club membership more easily and accurately. Communicate with our club membership through mass or individual emails is made possible by the software.

The software is primarily designed for team sports with leagues, teams, players, coaches, parents and youth. We are a ski club of adults only with no teams. Our primary function is year round social activities. Despite this the software has worked very well for us by simply ignoring (not using) all the functionality designed for team sports.

I like the software. It is relatively easy to use.
The software was easy to download and install. It was very easy to get up and running. The ease of getting registrations online was a blessing.
The price of Sports Engine software was a little bit more expensive than we felt we wanted to spend for our registrations.

Overall, my experience with SportsEngine has been good, but more features would make it great.
Sports Engine is an easy way for me to organize and manage the team that I coach. It is very easy to use.
There are not many features other than it being a way to set up a store for your team or communicate.

Great calendar, registration and information portal for parents and athletes.
As a volunteer coach/league administrator, I don't have a lot of time to sit down and learn how to use a new software package. Sports Engine is easy to figure out, and easy to use from day one. It does what I need it to do. Although I have not personally interacted with customer service, I've heard from other users that Sports Engine is responsive and quick to answer our concerns and unique requests. As a parent, I also like that many of my children's leagues and teams are part of Sports Engine and I only need one login to access all of them.
I wish it was easier to remove yourself from old teams/leagues that you or your children no longer participate in.

Ease of use. Very cost effective to switch over to and use year to year. High Levels of communication within the tool. SportsEngine is always making changes to try and improve the software. Adaptability between different orgs to use one piece of software for multiple different leagues and sports. I highly recommend this offtware quite to help in running youth sports orgs.
Sometimes the customer service people take a little longer than you would expect to answer questions.

Ease of use, improved communication and much more.
As the Director the Mankato Sports Commission as well as being involved at a volunteer level for numerous sports organizations I have been exposed to and had to use many different sports related software/website platforms. SportsEngine is hands down the best of any I have ever used. In minutes I can show somebody who has never used the software a few basic things and get them up to speed enough that they can easily help manage a website on this platform. I love that you don't need to know how to write code or really any technical aspects in order to make changes or updates.
Occasionally I run into things I'd like to do on our website that are not available as options however the SportsEngine team always gets back to me in timely fashion to either let me know of a way to do it or let me know if that is something they are working on.

When this software is used by all the teams in the organization it is great!
I love that with my 4 kids in sports, I can see a daily snapshot of who is where and when. It is extremely effective for ease of use.
Only one email can be added by the admin for each child. However, as the parent, I can then add on my spouse and grandparents after.

Parents at the High School LOVE the fact that they can be communicated with, the calendar is easy to read. And all forms and information is all in one place.
Easy to use! Easy to train others to use. Tech support is very helpful. Helped me brand our Athletic Dept and families LOVE it! Easy to access and full of all the information parents need at our High School.
When I go to the helpful videos, I can't search a specific topic. Too many articles come up for the topic I choose. Other than that, absolutely NO problems with Sports Engine.

Great looking site, that is easy to manage, and a great system that manages the club registration and team's for me.
The ability to manage a travel club all through the site and software is perfect for any team or organization of any size.
It doesn't have a POS component yet. With a multisport facility that includes a sports bar, smoothie bar, and pro shop it makes it a bit difficult to manage them all through the site.

It's doubled the size of our club in three year. The new site seems to project more confidence but it also appears very high in search engine results for our area, so we have more exposure. It's dramatically reduced the time we have to spend getting information to people or collecting information and fees.
Once setup, it is easy to prepare for each season by making any changes to past registrations and duplicating them for the next season. It's radically reduced the amount of cash and checks we handle -- almost every transaction goes through the website now.
Some may find the initial setup tricky but Sports Engine offers a service for setting up your website, and rates that are really good if you compare with having an web design agency doing the work.

It made my soccer clubs administrative duties much simpler.
The ease of use in regards to registrations and payments. It has really streamlined my club and completely eliminated the use of any paper. The constant updates and changes to the platform to better it have been so useful as well.
The website designer needs an overhaul. For the average sports rep running the website it is very useful, but for someone who wants to take the website to the next level, it is pretty limiting.

There is not one good thing about this software, you will pull your hair out every time you try to login.
I work with a lot of software this is by far the clunkiest worst sports management software on the market. Stay far away from this terrible product. Nothing is intuitive and easy to use or manage. Customer support is terrible, they ended the chat conversation after they sent me a link to fix the issue I was having, the link un-useful because the instructions were not as they should be, but I couldn't chat with them they hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and use a different sports management website platform.

Or club is able to spend the time with the actual things that matter for any youth sports organization: the families....we know the business side is now solid with the use of SportsEngine.
Help desk tutorials so you can be self sufficient. Fee collection is HUGE for volunteer organizations....so the multiple options of installments, customizations, and billing are amazingly helpful....especially as businesses are moving away from taking checks. Our club was literally in the red until we got SportsEngine to help us collect fees properly, communicate, and promote. ALSO now HUGE is that our main league can send the game schedule directly to our website! ALL on same platform now and gigantic time saver!
I have seen the availability of immediate support diminish.... Support is GREAT but reaching someone quickly, as a volunteer like myself, is important. Communicating to people who are not 'members' would help...as we have Alumni who are not comfortable with websites.

Everything is on the app what time practice is where it is. It even has a group messaging app for parents to ask questions. Normally if someone is asking a question there is knee that one person needing the answer to that. This is better than 10 parents calling the coach to ask the same question.!
If it is raining out we can cancel practice on the app and parents will get a notification on there phone. With emails parents don’t always check them that regularly. Sports engine prevents any confusion

I like the website, I like what it can do and my customer like the way it looks. Now I wish it was easier to get a hold of Customer Service. Or if Customer Service emails back all I get is link on my question. Its very cold and un customer friendly. There is probably so much more I could be doing with my 2 websites but no one will ever spend the time to really help you. You have to figure out everything on your own
The ability to make it easy on my customers to play with us in our Leagues & Tournaments. Call to action with click through to registration pages set apart from competition
For first two years I exclusively did my scoring and scheduling on SE. In the last year or so I have gotten away from that as I find it too time consuming and I use Zorts Sports now
