Pros

It is super easy to use and students enjoy following and getting news and updates from. I really like the information you can spread from Twitter.
It’s easy and quiet accessible to the public So it’s good for communicating with your friends , family or co workers. It’s also great for expanding your business.
This better suits the younger generation, or how they like to call it Gen Z. I love the new feature where I can follow new tags by interests like kpop, rnb, sports, tech and get updates.

Pros

I love that this has reminder features, I use slack to message myself for anything i need to have at hand. I also love that it helps keep everyone on the same page.
I love the price/value, ease of use, inherent organization structure, and interface. M still using the free version which is amazing when I think about how much I use the system.
I like how well Slack enhances the ability to communicate with teams onsite and offsite. The integrations are really useful and allow for a boost in productivity.

Cons

The customer support is also one of the worst i have ever seen.
I think they unnecessarily flag some tweets or ban them or delete them.
Very limited number of charters per messages leave messages without nuance. Extra time maybe required to compose with in the strict limit.

Cons

Only thing which I struggle with is that I get lost in my channels sometimes. You can only go into one channel at a time.
Slack is a tool, and if a company fails to identify the ground rules, it can be useless. The organizations that dislike using slack often have not defined rules around using it.
It feels disorganized, repetitive, and obsolete. I do not think that this is going to be something we use in the longterm.

Slack

Great group collaboration tool

Reviewed 10 months ago

After getting over the learning curve it was very intuitive and surprisingly robust. It was easy to divide my group chats.

Pros

It’s like twitter for group collaboration and most people know how to use twitter.

Cons

Not intuitive initially but once you learn how to use hashtags and subgroups, it’s a wonderful tool.

Slack

Best enterprise-level collab platform.

Reviewed 3 years ago

Greater and faster interaction with people from my workgroup

Pros

It allows me to have channels, it's easy to search in the conversation history, and the integration it has with DevOps tools is both easy to use and feature packed.

Cons

I learn about service outages or issues first by reading twitter complaints than by the official channels.

Slack

Can't Imagine Work Without It

Reviewed a year ago

With having to work remotely for the past month now, I've really come to rely on slack for messaging. It's a great platform for messaging and tracking work place flow. I can't imagine work without it now. Especially as I just started using it less than 6 months ago for the first time.

Pros

What i like most about slack is its interface and channel views. I think it's very fluid and more organized than Microsoft teams.

Cons

I hate how you have to install features such as sharing a twitter link or a link to a google doc. Just simply preview the link. There's no need to have a slackbot message tell me to download the twitter or google doc installation.

Slack

Amazing workspace

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience is good while using slack because I feel that I can manage my all works meetings and chats with clients at one platform. I can show all the things directly by clubbing the other apps like Google drive, webex app.

Pros

I really like the channel concept of the slack.. i think for beginners the name channel is confusing but it's OK after using the slack I really like it and I am personally using while freelancing work.

Cons

As per my suggestion, Direct option of Facebook, Twitter and other social media should be there while inviting people.

Slack

Great for remote teams

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I like how Slack connects teams from across the world in real-time and has a free plan with unlimited users.

Slack

Could be oriented more towards business-tasks

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, Slack has saved us considerable time communicating within our remote workforce in Guadalajara. Passing files back and forth could be improved with version control to enable comparison of uploaded files. Slack is how work gets done at Propelics!

Pros

Saves countless back and forth emails! Enables uploading of media, integrates well with Trello, Dropbox, Google Drive, Twitter.

Cons

Lacks real business production features like bug/task assignment and tracking. I could see pulling more Trello-like features into Slack. Also, image markup functionality would be great! Native integration of videoconferencing would also be nice vs triggering of Zoom. Could use better notification when people leave or new people join a team. File versioning, like the kind Box uses, would also be great.

Slack

Not a fan

Reviewed a year ago

I’m sure with some changes and feedback, this could be a great app.

Pros

My family used this to put out info on a trip next year and it was nice to have everyone in one spot.

Cons

It’s hard to use, too many tabs and options, like Facebook and twitter had an ugly love child that doesn’t speak.

Good tool for team work

Pros

Great tool for teammates communications and interactions, have a friendly graphic enviroment and allows integration with Twitter, Dropbox, Google Drive.

Cons

Doesn't allow video calls, doesn't show the last time online or active of the users, is not a software to storage critic or important information, because is more useful for instant messages only.

Slack Review

Reviewed a year ago

We use Slack as a business chat at work. It works well for us, we use it for things we need to say to everyone instead of using emails for literally everything. It is very easy to use and easy to understand.

Pros

The things I like most are: - easy to use - instant messaging services are an easy way to chat in the office

Cons

The things I like the least are: - it posts all of our twitter feed to the chat so you get notifications about it

Slack

Replaces almost every other form of internal communication

Reviewed 2 years ago

Slack replaces large amounts of email, Twitter and other internal ways my team communications with each other. Everything just goes faster and faster.

Pros

Slack allows my team to come together quickly and efficiently to discuss stories, and agree on direction, wiping out hours of back and forth email nonsense.

Cons

It's way too easy to get sucked into Slack and spend too much time chatting and not enough time working.
