Twitter is an ideal platform for freelance writers

Reviewed a month ago

Twitter is so easy to use and I always enjoy engaging with my followers and friends on the platform on a daily basis.

Pros

As a writer, I use Twitter to share my work and to network with fellow writers. I also was hired for a job in early January after talking with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] of the website through Twitter's DMs.

Cons

The ability to edit your tweets after sending would definitely be a helpful feature along with a free unsend or undo option.

A really great social network!

Reviewed 16 days ago

Overall I really enjoy using Twitter, it is a great social network platform that helps me keep up with everything new. Being able to keep pictures and short videos I tweeted years ago is an added bonus. Being able to sign in using Twitter is also an added bonus and saves me a lot of time instead of going through the whole sign up process. I would really like for Twitter to update the video length just so it can improve the video viewing experience. Other than that I really love using Twitter and would recommend it to anyone with or without an active social media lifestyle.

Pros

I like how on my profile I can select media and easily find all the pictures and videos I have shared over the years. With every viral post, there is a hashtag for it so I am able to easily find viral posts which help me keep up with what's trending or happening around the globe. Unlike other apps, Twitter has a limited message size so I don't have to read countless pages before they get to the point, instead, however, for interesting tweets you can start a thread and post multiple times under it which is really easy to read. I also like how a lot of sites give me the option to sign up using Twitter so I always have easy access.

Cons

I dislike that I can't upload longer videos which means I need to upload multiple short videos.

Love Using This App!

Reviewed 6 months ago

As a freelance makeup artist, it is really important that I use my social media to advertise my business, collaborate with other small business owners and grow my clientele. Sharing photos and videos of my work as well as advertisements for special events, discounts etc have been tasks which are simple and easy to do with Twitter. Since joining and using Twitter to market my business, my clientele has grown along with public awareness of my business.

Pros

Twitter is very user friendly. It's a really interactive social media platform, and this makes it perfect for promoting my makeup artistry business. Not only am I able to promote my work but Twitter makes it quite easy and simple for others to assist by using the retweet and like features. As a makeup artist, clients want to have an understanding of what services you offer and the scope of your craft....

Cons

At times when I'm promoting giveaways, discounts and other special events for my business, I've found it a little inconvenient that Twitter has a limit of 280 characters for all tweets. I've often had to adjust the information I've prepared to ensure that I don't go over the word limit. However, this has given me the opportunity to create concise advertisements that immediately catch the attention of readers. This particular feature, however, would not prevent me from recommending Twitter to others.

Twitter, One Of My Favourite Social Platform

Reviewed a year ago

My overall experience with Twitter is top-rated. I have never run into any problem while using Twitter. I use to chat with my family and friends through Twitter and I found the communication system of Twitter very strong and most secure than all other social platforms. currently, I am using Twitter for social networking but very soon I'm going to start social media marketing with Twitter for my business....

Twitter - The pros and cons of the better social network

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

In a world dominated by Facebook owned properties, it is great to have a platform like Twitter. As a social network/social media app, there are many things that stand out about Twitter, here is my list of pros, I will have to compare it to the biggest social network: 1) Interesting learning curve - if you come from other social media platforms, Twitter may seem confusing at first but once you learn...

Cons

There are only a few cons to Twitter at the moment 1) Editing Posts/Tweets the inability to edit tweets or posts after you have posted them is a huge con especially if you are a business or use it for PR. 2) Mobile support - Twitter's own apps do not have great mobile versions. Aside from Tweetdeck, there are very few alternatives to the main Twitter app that are worth using. With the limitation of the API, you are left with very few choices for mobile apps.

The real social network

Reviewed 3 months ago

I have been using Twitter for years and whenever I want to find out any news, Twitter is the first place I look, for its ease of use, its speed in managing files, and for the freedom that exists in the entire platform. Twitter in my opinion is the best social network today,

Pros

Twitter is very simple to use, it is possibly the meeting place for people worldwide, and it has several very useful tools. Twitter works great for following live and global news, marketing products, collecting opinions, sharing files of any kind with incredible speed, etc. It works very well on any device you use, be it mobile, computer, tablet, whatever. In general, Twitter is the social network par excellence.

Cons

I don't like the number of bots and fake news that have taken over Twitter in recent years. I also don't like the conversation management it does, it's very easy to get lost in a conversation, I think it could be improved and moved to a more useful system as the one Reddit has.

Twitter... One of the top social media

Reviewed 9 months ago

It's a platform you didn't think you needed and it comes to you and becomes essential not only to experience what you feel and share it, but to maintain communication with the people you get to know through it. It allows you to stay connected to things going on around you that you are not normally aware of because of distance or because it is not happening directly to you. And it is a form of entertainment in a way thanks to the creativity of its users.

Pros

It is easy to use, and allows you to meet and communicate with people you would never think you would be able to talk to due to distance, it is very good when it comes to sharing an idea or a thought with the world. And it allows you to find people who have the same likes and ideas as you, it lets you know that you are not really alone.

Cons

It is a very toxic platform at times due to the constant posting of "controversial" content that can divide opinions in an excessive way and even create violence within the community, it handles very poorly the reports or inappropriate content that appears in its rules, it is understandable due to the large number of users but could be better managed, in addition to communication with its users is not easy. In addition to the above, it would be its mobile application and its chat that can constantly show errors and its interface can be tiring due to its lack of development. Its evolution has been very slow compared to other social networks.

Twitter Is King for Promoting Written Content

Reviewed a year ago

We love Twitter. It's our best performing platform for organic interaction. The cherry on top? It's open source, and much less privacy-intrusive than other options available.

Pros

In terms of social media platforms, which one is best for your company will depend on the type of company you're running. For us, as a written online publication, Twitter is king when it comes to organically promoting our content, as well as interacting with our fans. We simply get the best organic interaction rates of any social media platform on Twitter.

Cons

Compared to its main rivals, the paid promotion options on Twitter are a bit lackluster. The metrics in particular leave a little bit to be desired.

Twitter at its heart is very simple. The ability to reach businesses, customers and just to build a large social media presence is very easy. Hashtags allow posts to be linked to current and important topics, photos and links to other sites can easily be added to posts. Notifications quickly show how many accounts have interacted with posts

Pros

I truly appreciate Twitter and use it ordinary expertly as well as by and by as the chance to remain interconnected with people is too awesome to even consider missing. I'm happy I gone to Twitter and found their promotions stage. As we are going towards the Christmas season, I intend to run an occasion crusade for my ebay store and I realize Twitter is the perfect locations to carry out my promotions. Twitter isn't just probably the best spot to make associations you may never have reached yet you can likewise contact a group of people who probably won't have the foggiest idea about your little web-based store existed.

Cons

here is really very little that I don't like with regards to this product, as it offers essentially anything anybody would expect out of a product like this one, basically when contrasting it with comparative options with practically identical arrangements. However long somebody has a web association and a gadget on which to utilize the product, there are actually no drawbacks to this product, which is the reason I for one don't have much else to list as a negative and would at last suggest it.

Everyone can open a Twitter account and start enjoying it.

Reviewed 6 months ago

If you've recently opened an account, it won't take you long to learn your way around Twitter; it's actually a bit basic, but even with that, the features it has are quite useful. It can help you get into entrepreneurship, build your own audience, or simply use it for your work and personal convenience.

Pros

It is an excellent tool to be constantly updated on local and global trends, if you do not only use Twitter as a hobby, this social network can bring great benefits. Currently, I consider of utmost importance the conscious, creative and profitable use of social networks; for my job role it is of great help in the process of knowing, measuring and connecting with what people need or want, Twitter is perfect for that. Among other things, I like being able to receive and send private messages and the search filter is powerful. Also, getting feedback is easy and even easier if you connect with hashtags, and also when you upload images or photos, it does not lower the quality and stays in HD, which does not always happen with other social networking apps

Cons

It has some contradictory aspects, it can close an account for lack of activity; but it is not so quick to suspend or remove explicit inappropriate content (not always, but most of the time).

The Best Social Media Platform

Reviewed a year ago

I use Twitter both for business and pleasure. Twitter is by far the most successful social media platform for my clients, where we regularly reach thousands of people with each tweet and have thousands more followers on Twitter than our other platforms despite typically sharing the same content.

Pros

Twitter is a great and effective platform to both find and share news, information, and ultimately whatever you may want to share. You can set your account up in minutes and quickly learn how to follow other accounts for information and begin posting your own content. Through hashtags, tagging, and general regular posting, you can grow your following and overall reach.

Cons

I understand why there isn't a regular edit button on Twitter, but it would be entirely helpful to at least have the option to edit a tweet up to 2 or so minutes after posting. There are times where I will notice a typo immediately after posting but instead I have to delete and repost entirely, and sometimes when attempting to repost a video tweet that originally had an error, Twitter will try to indicate that we've already posted it and won't let me repost. Additionally, you cannot tag up to 10 accounts in scheduled Tweets like you can when posting live.

My Love-Hate Relationship with Twitter

Reviewed a year ago

Overall its a great way to waste some time! I've been posting less and less recently for my mental health. I find myself only going on to scroll, I stopped posting art altogether because only getting 3 likes was really damaging my self esteem.

Pros

What I love most about Twitter is the freedom to be able to post anything (that isn't inherently harmful) to the site. You see so much creativity, it really is entertaining!

Cons

It is impossible to get followers organically. As an artist I've always struggled with gaining a following but Twitter's algorithm buries content from small creators - then those with massive followings only seem to get bigger. It's sad because a lot of artist make money off commissions via exposure and it feels like you have to fight against the site in order to get some engagement.

Pros

There is no other social media that lets you communicate this directly with you audience, your content is not going to get lost in a sea of other posts. And that is what we love about Twitter - direct communication with desired audience.

Easy Way to Communicate Ideas

Reviewed a year ago

I am overall very happy with Twitter. When used correctly it is an amazing platform for all types of people to come together and have a meaningful conversion or for companies to directly communicate with users. They have also copied clubhouses idea of having a chatroom which is beneficial to having more meaningful conversation. This is by the far the best social media app.

Pros

I like that you can communicate with anyone on the website. Twitter makes it easy to express your ideas to others and have a meaningful conversion with someone in what's called a 'thread'. There are also numerous marketing benefits from using Twitter. There are many people that use this app and companies are able to relate more to consumers by using the app.

Cons

There can be a lot of negativity in the app due to users and Twitter's code indirectly amplifies it. This is because negative and vile comments tend to have more responders and due to having more people responding to it Twitter highlights the negative comment and pushes it to the very top. Although the most vile ones get deleted by twitter due to user reporting there is still a lot of negativity and misinformation that is spread by it.

Free and Relevant Social Media Engagement

Reviewed a month ago
Pros

Twitter gives you access to tens of millions of people around the world who are interested in what you're selling. It has allowed me to establish a personal brand name and reach people who are fans of my business. It has opened up new areas of engagement and allowed me to connect with people I otherwise would never have been able to meet. The best part about Twitter is the high engagement rate and the way that people expect to see breaking news and other content. It is relevant and effective.

Cons

I dislike the amount of bots on Twitter. I also dislike the profanity, sex, and other content that I would prefer to not see on a daily basis. Sometimes I follow people I think are cool, and then they retweet content I don't want to see. There are was to mitigate this or block it, so it's not a deal breaker. It's just a bit annoying. I also dislike how expensive their advertising rates are. Compared to Facebook, they are super expensive. This is not an issue for free users who aren't running a business. But if you are, then Twitter can be costly.

The app with the potential to become new Facebook

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

*Reliable, Fun and Easy to use *Twitter is one of few platform that due to it's struggles as a startup remained in the position to turn itself into something usable and enjoyable, *Facebook, Linkedin even instagram now - they all went after advertisements and ways to monetize and at some point I believe they began to lose their main purpose - human interaction and contact focusing on the random things and integrations. Twitter still keeps it basic. You need to share - here you go. You need to discuss - it's here. You need to bring attention - easy. I hope it develops as it quickly becoming a great source for anything!

Cons

*Too slow. The app as well as platform are extremely demanding for software and are unusable on old smartphones. Please, make a light version like facebook did. It would be so so great! *Confusing for starters. I would suggest having limited features that uses can switch off or on when they register. If the company focuses on making it ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION only with possibility to extend it manually - that would be awesome!

Twitter.

Twitter is a great tool to express your views and opinions and get to know the same about other people.

Pros

Tiwtter is most simple among all social networking software and has a very clean interface. It can be used to share small text statuses (tweets), photos and short length videos. It is used to reach mass audience by public figures and celebrities. Twitter is mostly used to connect mostly with like minded strangers rather than friends. Most of the content on twitter is of serious nature like news and updates. Business can also use it for promitional purposes free of coast, though it does not allow any sort of political ads. Over the time it has earned a status as a platform that promotes free speech and has been vital in shaping opinions like in Arab spring.

Cons

With twitter you can only share a single tweet of no more than 160 words. Also due to its wide reach and reputation, it is also used by some people to spread fake news and hate, though Twitter is trying to effectively deal with it.

The Most Informal Social Channel

Reviewed a year ago

I use Twitter daily for personal use and interact with my favorite brands on there often. I feel it is essential to use as a brand and have had a lot of fun creating interesting content for fans that can differ from other social platforms structures.

Pros

I love Twitter because it is fast paced and a great way to connect with your fans daily. It's brand leans more casual than Facebook and LinkedIn which makes it a fun place to really give your brand a voice. You can fit in seamlessly with a user's friends and become a friendly face to them to.

Cons

From a brand perspective, Twitter does not have many publishing tools. In this role, I used Sprout Social to schedule tweets in advance and that worked great. However, if you work for a smaller business and don't have access to a social tool like Sprout, there is no free built-in scheduling tool like there is on Facebook.

It is a wonderful social media platform. It certainly has a different flavor than Facebook, Insta, or Snapchat. I like its serious and more mature feel. Simply put, I love Twitter.

Pros

There's no doubt that Twitter is the best social media marketing and social networking platform. I like Twitter for its beautiful user interface. The dashboard and newsfeed are very neat. I keep checking my Twitter feed all the time. Post scheduling is a great feature that helps me keep my presence on the internet. I'm a radio celeb and it is important for me to keep in touch with my fans.

Cons

I have only one problem that I think is a major issue and that is the addiction factor. Once I open my newsfeed I can't stop looking away for hours. heheh. Anyhow, on a serious note, I really don't like the new feature of Twitter where other people can't see all the replies to a tweet. I think it takes away all the fun.
