The thing about Vadoo is I got it initially because I thought it would be an excellent replacement for simple video hosting functionality on YouTube and Vimeo. I have other solutions already. The more I get into Vadoo, the more I can see how it can become a one-stop-shop for so much of the functionality I am using across multiple disconnected services.

I'm happy using Vadoo as my video hosting. I've switched from vimeo for my video course. It has 122 videos and all are now hosted on vadoo. I haven't faced any issue yet.

Vaddotv player is actually better than I expected when it comes to the fast video player, ease of use, and most important restriction on video download, it's an amazing service but still, it's a newborn baby but I can see they're improving and adding new feature fast. Anyway, I love vadooTV player.

My personal experience

I am excited to create landing pages as a subdomain that host video collections for people who find my blog online and don't want to go to YouTube. I also love that I can create customer videos and host them easily. Since YT now adds advertising whether we want it or not, it's valuable to have video hosting without ads. 

ALSO, I am working on course creation and may need to embed videos hosted by VadooTV. 

It appears that I may be able to use this for podcast hosting in the future too, which is exciting as a solopreneur. 

To date I have tested some of the features and played around with learning how to use it. I would love some more case scenarios and training videos.

Solution for video recording and hosting with great potential

A very good solution for starters. I’ve been looking for a solution like this since long time ago and I finally found it.

The problem I'm solving with Vadoo is the ability to host multiple videos on multiple websites without unwanted advertisements. I need to have complete control and ownership of my content, as well as the content of my clients, without the hefty price point.

AWESOME Deal vs The Competition

Since I am a beginner in working with videos, I needed a tool with a reduced learning curve, affordable and without ads. Vadoo meets my expectations and also offers features I didn't know I needed. The learning curve is not high, the Help Center articles are clear and concise, and so far I have had no need to call support. The developers are consistently updating the tool or adding new features. In three months or so they added audio landing pages, audio share pages, sorting option for videos in a channel, customised domain URL for embed codes, change project option for audio files and more customizations for the video player. Podcast pages, presets for their video player, ability to display CTA inside the video and 12 new themes for landing pages. RSS feed for podcasts, Facebook pixel for customer segmentation and retargeting, presets for landing pages, domain security at project level, domain protection for audio, download audio from dashboard, muted autoplay with captions enabled by default. I don't know if I will ever use all that Vadoo offers and all the new features they are adding to, but it is clear for me that Vadoo can meet a lot of needs: marketers, sales, creators, educators, team communication, customer support and more.

Perfect for me and I'm sure for many others

Everything has been buttery smooth since we've started using Vadoo. We're so excited to have such a robust alternative to the most common video players out there. But Vadoo doesn't sacrifice in terms of quality. The player is robust and feels very professional. We love that we have access to some basic analytics. 

Some other great features that we love are all the embed code options that are available, out of the box. This allows us to embed our videos as a basic share link, through an email, embedding the link, social sharing, a bubble, and popover! So much more robust than other video tools we've used!

Another great thing we love is that each video has its own custom landing page. So many options for  the savvy marketer!

Wow! Each time I push play on a video in Vadootv, I start smiling. I’m so blown away by the speed of this player. How is this even possible? Vimeo and Youtube need to watch out! Seriously.

It’s a better choice having ads interrupting content as with other video hosting options.  There are many customization options, as well as good collaboration capabilities for team members.                                                        Before Vadoo, I was considering using Vimeo and YouTube as our video platform. They didn't work out. YouTube was just full of advertising and it wasn't so secure. People could download our videos. And with Vimeo, there's an ongoing cost, quite a lot of cost per month, and the long run wasn't really sitting our business. So Vadoo seemed like the perfect option for us.
                                                       The reason why we decided to use Vadoo was, one, it was very cost effective. There was a lifetime deal, which meant that it was a one-off payment, so we wouldn't have these ongoing monthly payments which really add to our business costs. And secondly, it's really easy to use. I could customize the video player. And the support has been really awesome. There's a great Facebook group page and Vadoo are very active in offering support there. So support, ease of use, and the price were our main reasons for going with Vadoo.
                                                       The onboarding was so simple with Vadoo. I didn't even need to contact support. I logged in and it was just really plainly obvious about how to use it. Simply set up a project, upload the video, press the upload button, uploaded the video. And then there was an embedded link. And I embedded that straight into our client's website. It was really simple. Customizing the player was intuitive and easeful. Getting the branding colors right. And also not just with videos, actually. There was an audio player. So for our podcast scenario, that was really awesome too.
                                                       I would fully recommend Vadoo as a video hosting platform. It's easy to use, it's cost-effective, and support is awesome.

                                                       When considering Vadoo, we looked at other options, and amongst them were Wistia, Vimeo Pro which we're already using, and Publitio. I never know if I pronounced that one correct, but Publitio, it's a new one. And we're looking for something which would replace simply YouTube or Vimeo hosting. Unlike most people, I guess I'm a bit of a technology hoarder. We grab all sorts of technology and we try it out. And Vadoo really came up trumps when we looked at functionality, especially for an early stage company versus price from the rest of them.
                                                       Wistia was just way out of the price range. They're a great product and all the rest of it, but the functionality they offered wasn't necessarily that dramatically much more than what we're already seeing with Vadoo, what we expected them to do. Vimeo Pro being there for a long time, but quite frankly, we felt the Vadoo was pretty much chomping at their heels already. The customer support from Vadoo and the responsiveness from them, especially in the FB group when you have some suggestions are like, "Yeah, okay, we'll get on it. We'll go and do it." So Publitio over the edge, another startup basically, and they just didn't appeal. So it came down to those final three plus Vadoo and Vadoo one.
                                                       So the main reasons we chose Vadoo was the... I don't usually like one-stop shops when I'm buying technology, because they have a tendency to lock you into stuff and not work all that well. When they don't work that well, customer service doesn't really come to the party. Vadoo however, had already a bunch of stuff in there and it seemed to work. We were looking for something initially just for video hosting, but then, you can upload your audio files. So when we suggest to listen, we'd love to be able to use Vadoo not just for the video card, video podcasts, but also the audio podcast. They're like, "Yeah, cool. We'll go and do that." And they went and implemented that all in one go. In fact, they just recently released that as a beta, the podcast and capability.
                                                       So for us, it was a question of what can we do with this and how far, how many things can we replace this with this one solution. And remember I said, I'm a guy who doesn't choose technology necessarily when it's a one-stop shop solution. It's just this one seems to work. It has the functionality we were looking for, and they're very, very responsive, all over big ticks, customer service, functionality, price. It all just worked.
                                                       So we've replaced Vimeo Pro. We're now in the process of moving major podcasts across. There are three more to move across once we've done that. I think the biggest hiccup for us with Vadoo is not going to be Vadoo, it's going to be when we get these podcasts across, we're going to have to go and get the feeds re-registered with all the major syndicators, like Google Play and iPhone, iTunes that sort of stuff. But as I said, you have combined price, you have combined functionality and you have combined customer support. Quite frankly, it's the customer support which really nails it, because people really don't give a rats what you do, why you do it gets you through the door, but how you do stuff. The experience you give your customers is decisive in terms of when they stick with you, when they come back, when they tell people to come back and try you as well, and so fast, you know, brilliant. Can't speak highly enough of everything they've done, and that really clinched it for us.
                                                       One of my big bugbears with technology is integration. You're buying a new piece of technology whether it's a SaaS or whatever it is, and you got to make it work with everything else you have. So it's sort of one of the key decision points when buying something. I have to say, when we first looked at Vadoo we're looking at how do we get videos in, how do we get videos out, what else can we use with it. Everything seemed to tick the box again, but in practical terms, what do you want to do with videos? You want to put them on your website. You want to put them on social. You want to have maybe landing pages and metrics and all that sort of stuff.
                                                       And when we started to put these videos into our website, I was surprised. Because most websites, what they do is they say put a video on here and you just chuck your YouTube or your Vimeo URL in there, and Bob's your uncle. If you have to go to that manual iFrame integration, then quite often the video players don't work. Now Vadoo has his own video player. I'll be honest we don't use their video player on our website. We use it on their landing page, the layout, the landing page on our environment. But on our website, what we do is we take the embed code and we strip out the iFrame, we chuck it in and it works seamlessly. We've tried that with other solutions and it just becomes a complete dog's breakfast. So what we have is we have a WordPress website. We're using a particular builder for that. I won't mention them. But it just works seamlessly, we chuck the iFrame code in there and boom, up it comes beautifully.
                                                       And the other thing I like about it is that Vadoo offers domain level security. So like the big boys, you want to secure your videos, you can lock it down so people can't go and embed them if you don't want them embedded. It's also quite challenging to be able to extract the video from your website, unless you know what you're doing. I mean, listen, even Wistia if you want to grab a Wistia video from someone's website, you can go and do it. You just need to know how. The same is with Vadoo, but there is a great amount of security around it if that's something that really appeals to you. But integration just works so seamlessly and effortlessly, I was seriously impressed.
                                                       So if you're looking at Vadoo as a possible option for your video hosting, then just on that alone, it is an absolute... on one hand, it's an absolute bargain, and that might not be the decisive factor for you. But two, it offers the functionality that I would say 90 plus percent of people will need right now and it offers it right now, and they are continuing to grow it.
                                                       One of the things I look at with any technology solution is what is the total cost of ownership. Now back in the day, when you'd buy client server solutions and things like that or you're buying network equipment, or whatever it is you're buying, you'd have to look at the total cost of ownership. And it's a concept that most people don't get. What it means is it's not just the acquisition of any piece of technology, hardware, or software. In this case, obviously, a software as a service platform. It's what does it cost you to purchase the service, what does it cost you to maintain that service because you need to configure it and when they release you updates you're going to look at it, and what does it cost you to integrate that service and keep it running. And lot of you say, "Yeah but SaaS you just turn the key and set off." Well, actually you don't but if you do good luck to you.
                                                       Look at the total cost of ownership of the products or services you're considering right now, and then line them up one by one against Vadoo. Make a spreadsheet. I'm pretty anal about this sort of stuff, and I'll do it really quickly, but make a spreadsheet and look at your total cost. And when you do that, cost versus functionality, cost versus customer service, costs just on its own. When you do that, I believe at least you're going to come to the same conclusion, whether you're a small business, a solo entrepreneur or a mid-sized business or big corporate even. This thing is enterprise ready. When you do that, you're going to come, I believe at the same conclusion that I did and we did at our company and that is, this thing is something for now. It's not necessarily an investment just for the future wait and see what happens, go and do it now.
