Excellent Website Builder

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience has been really good. I was able to publish my website without any issues.

Pros

Very easy to use. It has a lot of great features that are included in the price like video hosting. The drag and editor is one of the best on the market.

Cons

I currently do not have one to share. Overall the product works really well. They limit the size of the video you can upload to your site it would be nice if they increased the size that is allowed.

Vendor response

Thank you for your honest opinion!

The learning curve is 100% worth it

Reviewed 2 years ago

Once you have the hang of the software it's a breeze. It's so well organised and easy to navigate that the user experience and build becomes very fast and dynamic. It's extremely well priced for what you get. I'm in Australia and there is outstanding customer support right here in Australia. The platform also has an agency aspect that is really easy to use and navigate. It is a true drag and drop builder. *****It's the perfect solution for DIY website if you're willing to learn how to use the platform and let's face it whatever platform you choose you will have to learn anyway *****If your just starting out as an agency Webwave is a platform you really must consider.

Pros

-It's a true drag and drop builder that does not require any knowledge of coding whatsoever. -What you see on the page is what you get when you publish, with the exception of external code, but the publishing aspect as you build is fast and easy to use, so you can see in real time as you build how the page will look even including the external code you may have embedded in the page (for an email optin, podcast player, youtube video or ecwid store etc). -It's pricing is very competitive so much so that it's tempting to entirely rebuild one of my other websites to bring it onto the WebWave platform. -The customer support, right here in Australia (where I am) is outstanding. -Most of all, once you learn the platform it becomes logical, fast and dynamic to use.

Cons

Currently the help docs are hard to search, I know Webwave are working on making their help database more accessible. The customer support is outstanding and does make up for this. At first the platform can seem a little complex, but once you get the hang of it, it makes sense and it's fast and easy to use.

Vendor response

Thank you for your review. To make it easier to work with our website builder we are currently preparing extensive video tutorials. They will soon be published on our youtube channel.

Pretty interesting All-in-one solution

Reviewed 2 years ago

For any small business that needs basic stuff without messing with WordPress, this solution is to consider but if you need more advanced solutions that would rank higher in performance, you might find other products

Pros

Pretty complete cloud solution for everyday sites. You can create a site very easily with drag-and-drop solutions. You can customize a lot of things like animations, hover states, and small details. Seo settings are pretty basics though. You can create different language versions. You can tweak SEO on site settings wich is great, that's a good point. It's between Webstarts and Sitejet

Cons

Lack of elements and performances, I get a D on GT Metrix and it's not that good. It should be improved to be used professionally. I couldn't find Schema for SEO but you can add it in the head part. No way to translate the cart and checkout part. May be I couldn't find it...

Vendor response

The WebWave shopping cart and checkout is currently in English and Polish. We will also introduce new language versions in the future. If you have any problems with our tool, please report them to support so that we can fix them quickly.

Webwave: The best kept secret in website design and hosting

Reviewed 4 years ago

We were looking for an affordable CMS design and hosting platform that would give us improved design capability and allow us to host and support the websites that we build for our clients. After using and testing Webwave for several months we found that this Polish based company was indeed very active in terms of developing new features and responding to technical support enquiries. Webwave really do excel in the area of technical support and they actually listen to feature requests and implement them if it makes sense for the majority of users.

Pros

While the Webwave editor takes a bit of getting used to, it's well worth the effort. While it's similar to WIX with its drag n drop element placement its more powerful in terms of precision placement of elements and the effects you can create on the page for all types of screen sizes and resolutions. It supports responsive design views for Desktop, Tablet, Mobile Portrait and Mobile Landscape which can be individually switched on or off in the editor and publishing modes.

Cons

Webwave's editor does have a longer learning curve if you're used to using something like Weebly. However, Wix users will be a lot more comfortable using Webwave since their editor works in a similar way by allowing you to drag and drop an elements onto the page and then customise attributes like colour, visibility, interactions, animations and layer position from the main design and setting panels. However, once you learn where all the design tools live and what they do, you can achieve some truly spectacular results.

Vendor response

Thank you for your opinion.

WebWave for Web Designers

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

It is well suited for designers who'd rather focus on aesthetic and functionality rather than coding. It works like a typical graphic design software but the output is an advanced website that requires no programming background. You have full control and the freehand to make it work and look like in different screens up to the smallest details. As a designer, I hate templates and I truly don't need one when you can design all you want with the available tools and features. I finally can design a blog and forget about Wordpress. It works as a web app as well which is not possible in other platforms.

Cons

It is still a work in progress. Email integration is limited and not available to major platforms, not much options to design a complex menu, shadows not possible in text, no data integration to enable a more advanced website that requires some logic, and so on. It has become expensive and more than tripled its price since I started using it. It is generally limited to simple websites, at least for now. However, I believe in the team behind this software and in their vision for this product. It just keeps on improving and for sure it will be a much better software down the road.

Vendor response

Most of your comments have already been implemented. Now the website builder is much better. Test it again :D

Webwave delivers on its promises

Reviewed a year ago

Having just started a new endeavor in an entirely new industry, I needed a website that looks great, functions correctly, and doesn't require lots of time to maintain. Webwave delivered.

Pros

Webwave provided everything necessary for me to create a website for my fledgling micro-publishing endeavor quickly and easily. Before using Webwave, I thought their claims of "drag-and-drop" might be hype. Not so. Webwave really is as easy to use as they advertise, and my site looks great across devices regardless of screen size.

Cons

I had only one problem using WebWave. A short, looping video (MP4) on my site displayed on Windows and Android but was missing on iOS. Since WebWave builds the page for you, I couldn't fix the problem on my own. I reached out to support but didn't receive a fix. In the end, I swapped the video for an animated graphic (GIF). It works fine everywhere, and I'm happy. A slight bump on an otherwise smooth road.

Vendor response

Thank you for your honest opinion. Actually, we already verified this problem. MP4 videos do work on iOS, but under one condition - when you have battery saving turned on, the video will not be displayed. It's probably matter of iOS system itself - it doesn't play mp4 videos in browser with battery saving. When you turn it off, you will be able to see video.

Love the instant SSL, this save a huge amount of time trying to figure out the cloudflare dashboard. The builder is build for SEO optimization, this is really fantastic with plenty of very nice looking templates where we can make instant changes to

Cons

there is a learning curve to use it, but always start with playing around with the templates to get used to the flow and structure of the builder

Solved a critical problem

Reviewed 2 years ago

I've only found a few things that are missing, but I've found many more things that are new to my toolbox. All in all, I could not be happier.

Pros

I used Adobe Muse for years. Adobe drop Muse. While it still works today, it may stop with a future system update. I've been looking for a replacement. Webwave is it. The free trial has been wonderful as it lets me build my existing sites, put them online, and while it has the Webwave ad, at least I can see that it is working as I want it to work.

Cons

This doesn't seem to let me design using my iPad Pro. It says the screen it too small.

Vendor response

Thank you, happy to know you chose Webwave as replacement for you previous website builder :) If it comes to using website builder, you should use desktop version of borwser (Chrome/Firefox), that's why you can't do it on iPad.

Webwave is surprisingly great!

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I like that Webwave is very intuitive, with drag and drop interface for web-building. With a philosophy like Photoshop, I can visually design and build my site with no knowledge of coding. It is simple and very "What we see is what we get" - very familiar concept to "dinosaur" like me.I also find the templates available very helpful and usable - with a few simple click and customization the website is there to be used.

Cons

I just hope there would be more guidance on how to best use Webwave. There are tutorials for basic and it is also very easy to use, but I still feel that Webwave is much more powerful than just those basic. Some practical use cases or demos / video guides can therefore be helpful for exponential benefits of Webwave.

Vendor response

Thanks! I strongly recommend our Youtube Channel, where you can find long webinars about advanced usage of our website builder.

Simple drag-n-drop builder that creates stunning websites!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Truly love this builder so much because it saves a lot of time and money! Now I can work more on things that matter because of everything about website building becomes easier using Webwave!

Pros

If you need to create a website that looks absolutely stunning but without the hassle of taking hours to build one, then use Webwave!

Cons

It's not something that has much concern, but the mobile view must somehow be modified in order to be used. But it takes just a few minutes to adjust!

Unbelievably easy web designer!

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

The website builder. It's very easy to customize. I was nervous, thinking it might be difficult as the website says that Webwave designer works like tools artists use. But it's easy kind of like Canva and it has a lot of freedom.

Cons

The website performance isn't the best. I'd like it to be faster. Also, there are some designing quirks. There was a rectangle below the footer which always showed an off shade of color. The UX could also be improved by eliminating the need to press OK to make a change (in text). Want fancier templates.

Vendor response

Thank you for your opinion. We are currently working on improving the code of our tool, which will result in a faster loading and display of the website. We are already seeing the first results. It will be much faster soon.

Awesome WordPress Alternative

Reviewed a year ago

I began using WebWave a few months ago and am so impressed that I believe it merits a review. It's incredibly simple to use, and I was able to quickly create a prototype of my WordPress website. WebWave is by far the simplest and quickest way I've seen to build a website. The builder interface is superior to that of the most popular builders, such as Wix and Weebly. The drag-and-drop interface allows you to edit your site down to the smallest detail before publishing it with a few mouse clicks. The design customization options are limitless, allowing me to make my site look exactly how I want it to.

Pros

All-in-one solutionEmail hosting is included, as is a free SSL certificate.E-commerce and blog featuresSeveral free pre-made templatesIt feels more like using Photoshop or Canva than website design software.I became acquainted in less than two hours due to the short learning curve.

Cons

The domain renewal fee could be reduced.Nothing for the time being, but I'm sure more features will be added in the future.

All Websites should be like this in this day and age!

True drag and drop website builder with modern , well thought out solutions to problems other sites have and love that though it looks like a expert builder it's still got awesom onboarding videos that makes an anxious person like me to learn new apps, really excited to use it. I get all the awesome features and well looked after without the overwhelm.

Pros

5* it's true dag and drop 5* builder layout is well thought out and easy enough 5* love the fact it's has grouping so on different views it stays put then having to manually rearrange. Shows that the team have really looked at all the problems that exist compared to its other competitors 5* the animations they are modern not that dated kind. Wow! Some of the animations with static images you would...

Cons

I really can't think of anything to fault... It's definitely the best one I've seen to date!

It is a system that almost everyone can use but a lot of improvements needed

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

- It is simple enough to use, with not too many options. Easier to pick up with provided templates as a starting point. - It is easy to place elements on a page. You can manage multiple pages and create a site structure. - Provided the store feature is for simple transaction purposes, I have not gone into details since I was using a free account. - SEO Options pages (Basic) - Store settings page - Header code options - GA and Google Ads integration - Internal anlytics - Three tier of CMS users - Webmaster management - Connect email domain option (not tested integration) - Menu editor - Multiple link types internally, such as page, article or scroll to an element - Article/Blog feature - On screen user onboarding - Google fonts management

Cons

- Only payment gateway for the store settings is Stripe, which is not available in many countries. - It might be too basic options for Store & SEO settings pages. - Manual VAT/Tax options in the shipping/store page - single/fixed one tax type only. - Template quality is workable but not offering something extra than other platforms. - Template numbers are limited and not diversified for many business...

It's much better than I thought!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I offered a new web design for my friend's veterinary clinic business, and I had a couple of web design tool options to go with. One option was Wordpress (which used to be very Google-friendly some years ago but now I hear that it's not very good for Google), and the other was the drag-and-drop design tool called Mobirise (a great tool but very repetitive design-wise). I was aware of the Webwave but never gave it a chance to try before. And it was a good opportunity to give it a run. So I started working on this new veterinary clinic website project and learned a lot about what Webwave offers while working. Now I'm considering using Webwave only for all my future projects.

Pros

If you know, the basics of web designing or familiar to drag and drop site-builders Webwave helps you to understand things better. It functions more like UI design tools like Figma but focuses on web designing. It gives you great flexibility in creativity. And how they thought about many details in the agency panel is impressive.

Cons

So far, I can't think of any solid con to consider something I dislike about this service.

A tool that can make website development easier!

Reviewed 2 years ago

It makes website creation more efficient as it is easy to use and the design can be done in WebWave. Anyone can create a nice website without a developer or touching a code. I guess this is the one of best solutions for website development.

Pros

WebWave is a long-awaited solution for designers to make a pixel-perfect website on various devices, even for regular people. As a designer, it feels like home when I start using the editor where I can design the page freely for various device displays. It has a low learning curve thanks to the editor layout that is displayed like a common design software (e.g. Photoshop). Just drag and drop or edit the elements directly on the page. Fast and easy. With a wide range of documentation, it helps us to create a website as we imagine. Not to forget the numerous templates that will speed up the development process. Plus, no more efforts to update the plugins and themes as in WordPress.

Cons

The downside of WebWave, sometimes it took a little while to load the page on the frontend and backend. And for regular people, the editor page can be overwhelming. Other than that, for me, the experience of using the platform is great.

Thank you.

A simple yet powerful web builder

Reviewed 2 years ago

I am trying out WebWave to build websites and landing pages for myself and my clients. So far it has been easy to use. Once I get the hang of it, I can build a website from the scratch quite quickly. It saves me time and effort.

Pros

Pros: - It is simple to use - Just need to drag and drop the elements, according to my liking - There are tutorials to guide me along - So I know exactly what the different functions do - There are many features - With the different feasures available, it can suit my needs and wants - So far it is intuitive and responsive - Can be customizable and adjustable - There are multiple templates available - So I do not need to start from scratch - It has Unsplash integration in it - Which makes finding pictures for the website much easier

Cons

Cons: - It can be a bit laggy at times when editing - I will prefer it if it can be smooth - It can be a bit overwhelming with all the features - It takes a steep learning curve to understand and apply everything - The interface could be better - At the start, I was a bit confused about what to do, where the menu is, and where the different pages are

One of a kind product

Reviewed a year ago

The page is very responsive and so far it has been completely void of any glitchy or other errors that a person will find in using software from less established companies.

Pros

The drag-and-drop features are just out of this world. Using the same features and approach of popular photo editing software to create web pages is an excellent idea. It takes the planning stage that I used to have completely away because it is just so easy to move stuff around you can just take a look and see what it will look like using the software itself. I feel that the tutorials were also very productive.

Cons

I'm not super excited about the service being based outside of the same continent that I live in here in North America. They were not super clean about SSL certificates all being in place.

Vendor response

Thank you for your honest opinion! It's true that our company was founded in Poland. But we cooperate with global employees, and we're laso installing VPS servers for North America, so the clients form other side of our glob can have as fast websites as any other user in Europe :)

Rising star of Drag 'n' Drop Website Builder arena.

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience with Webwave is fantastic. It is really good for both newbies and experts. It is especially very suitable for newbies. Anyone can make an online store or website just within 30 minutes without any previous knowledge.

Pros

Webwave is really fascinating for the user of WIX and other website builders. I mostly like its very clean and easy-to-use interface. All the necessary options are just on your vision and well organized. As I am an online marketer, a perfect online store with all the necessary features is a must. Webewave provides all the necessary features like shopping carts and CNAME. I really appreciate their support.

WebWave Is an Excellent Web Development System

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

Web Wave is a great builder to make perfect custom websites. It's easy to use and the system resembles Photophop or Figma in the way it works. You can build your websites from scratch, or use the inbuilt templates. The whole system is setup in a way which can save you time.

Cons

It's not cheap, but that's normal when it comes to this type of software I think. Other alternatives are quite expensive. But then again this service comes with hosting.

Vendor response

Thank your for your opinion! In our opinion our prices are quite competetive, like you said - in Webwave there is ony 1 payment for all: hosting, website builder, SSL, mailboxes and more.

I hope this the future.?

Reviewed 2 years ago

The potential this software has If they manage and handle this correctly, I have no doubt that it will be a game-changer. I can't wait to see where it goes in the future. All too often, we see apps with so much potential that never get the recognition they deserve and eventually fade away. I'm excited to watch the roadmap and improvements in the next 12 months and see how this app grows and evolves. I have high hopes for its success

Pros

As a novice user, I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and ease of use of this software. It was described to me as being as easy as using Canva, and I found that to be an accurate comparison. The interface was intuitive and straightforward, and the tutorials made it easy for me to figure it out. Even as someone who is not a pro, I found the software to be user friendly. In fact, this is the first time in all the years of wanting to get into drag and drop web builders that I've been motivated to even consider building my own website, not scary at all.

Cons

Again just speaking as a novice, i think the GDPR compliance may need some work. More video tutorials needed in english.

Vendor response

Thank you for your opinion. We will think about more video materials, as we see they are needed :)
