Scott Booth

One of the most customizable ecommerce addon

2018-07-18

Pros

It integrates perfectly with other plugins and apis

Cons

The export data function should be tailored for less fields or make it more compact, it is great for export import in the same ecommerce platform but a nighmare just to upload it to something else.

The best eCommerce software in the world!

2018-02-27

I've been using WooCommerce for many years and it's always my go-to software for any project eCommerce related.

Pros

- It's FREE - Insanely powerful - can be used for a little shop or a massive store with 100's of products - Integrates with almost any software you can think off - Highly customizable - The WooCommerce community is huge and help is just a quick Google search away

Cons

- It's difficult to give a con for WooCommerce but if I had to I would say that for an absolute beginner, it can be a bit difficult to use and to get used to but that difficulty disappears quickly after using it for a little while.

This is a great option for sites that want ecommerce functionality without needing a platform

2018-06-01

Pros

It's able to integrate with popular CMS systems like WordPress and the like to provide that product functionality of ecommerce without having to require a hosted ecommerce platform.

Cons

Setting it up and things that go wrong are not the easiest for or a non-technical person to figure out on their own.

POS with woocommerce

2018-11-04

WooPOS is the only system that we found that helped us to work offline with normal POS software, and on the same time integrate with our Woocommerce online store. moving inventory between online and offline stores is very easy. it reduce the duplicate works that we used to do when publishing new products.

Pros

Powerful support with many POS features. easy integration with woocommerce. flexible with acceptable price license model. support Arabic language and can be translated easily. have sandbox training view to play around with system with risk free. multiple reports available and can be exported to excel easily. have multiple currencies that can be used for payments. can generate Purchase orders, quotes and layaway invoices. include vendor and customer management databases. can see historical transactions per customer or products. can customize few screens and have quick lunch buttons.

Cons

some features and menus are embeded inside other views like POS screen, there is no central screen that include all the powerful features in one please, so you need time to find the exact location of each feature.

WooPOS is the best POS software on the market for Woocommerce !

2018-11-05

If you have a retail business and are looking to link it to an ecommerce platform, WooPOS is the best solution on the market.

Pros

- Full featured POS software with everything our previous POS station had and more. - Highly configurable allowing for a tailored user experience. - Follows industry best practices, which initially seemed annoying and unnecessary but much appreciated down the line, when generating reports or tracking stock. - Robust documentation and Excellent email support.

Cons

The workaround after changing an SKU number in WooCommerce would be to delete and re-import the product into WooPOS. - User interface feels dated compared to market leading POS Software (Vend, Square, Toast) - It would be nice if WooPOS sold POS display directly or had links to some options.

Powerful E-commerce Interface

2018-02-20

The system continues to improve and grow and we would recommend it to any companies looking for a powerful, customizable platform from which to launch their online sales and manage their customer base.

Pros

WooCommerce forms the backbone of our e-commerce website and we've been using it for around five years at this point.

Cons

However, as noted above, the system can be linked to other systems using plugins and various connectors, so it's possible to extract that detailed sales data if need be.

Easy way to add a shopping cart to your WordPress site.

2018-06-06

Easily added a storefront to my blog.

Pros

There are many features built right in, such as configurable products and selling digital products in addition to regular products.

Cons

It is also limited to the WordPress database design, which in my opinion, isn't designed for ecommerce data.

Quick to set up and have your own online shop.

2018-01-16

I was able to set up an online shop quite fast, as compared to how much it would cost to have one designed for me.

Pros

Then you start creating your products, setting up your payment processor and you're done.

Cons

Any added functionality comes at a high price, plugins for it are very expensive (i.e. integrating Fedex shipping calculator).

Our favorite cart software.

2018-04-14

Easy to get the hang of if you want an ecommerce website.

Pros

It is simple, clean and effective. We now have four websites that use it. I highly recommend it over other carts for sure.

Cons

Takes way too many plugins to give the cart what I think should be basic functionality already built in.

Easy to customize, Feature-Rich, Reliable

2017-09-19

I use WooCommerce for all of my WordPress Ecommerce projects, it's reliable and easy to customize on the frontend, and clients are happy with it once they get used to using it.

Pros

Free // Easy to customize for developers // Most of the necessary features and functionality without having to purchase Extensions // Can add your logo to Emails from the admin*

Cons

Requires theme updates from time to time (if customized) when core plugin files are updated // *No way to customize the actual text in Emails from the admin // Checkout, Cart pages not responsive/mobile-friendly (tables) // UX Not intuitive: not as easy for the average client to learn / use without guidance

WooCommerce is a great shopping cart solution for WordPress Users

2017-12-14

Open source software offers the benefit of lower cost than most commercial software and a majority of websites are developed using WordPress, which is one of the most widely used open source content management systems.

Pros

Numerous payment gateways.

Cons

Many of the premium modules require annual subscriptions so you do need to be aware of the cost when comparing open source software to an off the shelf shopping cart solution. (a good developer will be able to help you determine what your costs will be before you get started).

Very customizable platform for your e-commerce needs

2018-07-15

Free

Pros

I had to integrate custom API with Woocommerce, really liked how many things you can manage with the API - add products, edit them, modify orders, customer data etc.

Cons

For example, a SEO plugin can mess up API responses for woocommerce by injecting random HTML in responses.

If you are using Wordpress as your CMS, this is the E-Commerce solution for you.

2018-12-15

Pros

There are Thousands of add on plugins for WooCommerce, if you need a certain functionality for your shopping cart or online catalog there is almost certainly a plugin to provide that functionality.

Cons

It seems like every time I want to add a feature to WooCommerce it requires another subscription or add-on payment which can easily add up to hundreds/thousands of dollars a year which cuts into profit margins.

My go-to ecommerce plugin

2018-01-12

Woocommerce has made it so much easier for me to set up an ecommerce website for clients, saving me loads of time.

Pros

From subscriptions, digital products, to shipping products... woocommerce has been able to do it all for us.

Cons

There are times when you require something more specific out of the plugin functionality and need to use CSS and PHP code to make it work... which means you need to either be or have at hand a developer that understands those codes.

Best eCommerce solution for businesses that just need a website and not a full time web department.
