Pros

Great solution to build landing pages / small & big websites with low budget - but if you got the money the results will be amazing.
If you are a person who has many thoughts that you would like to publish or perhaps you like fashion and want to show that interest, then WorldPress is your best friend.
WordPress is really an amazing content management system, that allows you to build stunning and amazing websites within few hours.

Pros

Not enoughreviews yet

Cons

We've found ourselves stalled out badly with problems at times because a theme or plugin had terrible support.
The biggest problem with WordPress is the lack of understanding that it is a blog software.
As a result, I'm forced to disapprove and delete spam comments individually, and when you get hundreds of these kind of spam comments each week, you can imagine that it can be frustrating.

Best for blogging and small ecommerce projects

Reviewed 4 years ago

Wordpress is the platform to chhose for blogging. For shopping portals works fine but lacks sophistication to be the best for feature rich portals like developing a hotel reservation system.

Pros

Wordpress started as a blogging medium and now is the market leader in this field. With a host of attractive templates to choose from and varieties of plugins centered not just on blogging but also for niches like shopping portals, Wordpress is just recommended for anything to start with when it comes to launching a website. The sites load fast.

Cons

However when it comes to developing an application such as hotel reservation system, it lacks the choices to be the best.

WordPress is an excellent tool if you want to create web pages easily and in a short time

Reviewed 4 years ago

it is quickly resolved to create pages and web portals, but interacting or coupling the topics to your needs can sometimes take a lot of time and dedication, but I recommend wordpress for the creation of web portals in a short period of time

Pros

1.) It is very easy to install, on a server it is relatively simple. In fact, on many occasions it is not necessary to resort to the steps of the manual installation of WordPress, since the Hosting management systems offer the automatic installation of the latest version of the system, both the web files and the database. 2.) WordPress allows you to decide whether to continue with one of the themes...

Cons

1-) Heaviness of the platform. WordPress can turn your web into something slow, very slow, especially when plugins are loaded. And sometimes, installing plugins is not an option, but a necessity. For example, if you want a multi-language online store, you will very likely have to install woocommerce and a translation plugin such as WPML. 2.) Difficulty to solve problems of operation: WordPress is an open source platform, but knowing all the plugins, its operation, the platform itself, and what is failing (if something fails) is a task that can consume a lot of time, effort and energy.

It allows making web pages very fast

Reviewed 4 years ago

We use it for small portals, not a lot of traffic since it requires a lot of security since the code is free. They can make very good presentations in the portals, but they have to update and constantly check the bugs that have been found.

Pros

It is very easy to use, you can use add-ons that are free, its structure is modular, what you do in one place does not affect the other, there is a lot of information on the Web that helps with the implementation of the tool.

Cons

It must be updated constantly, since hackers are always attacking vulnerabilities, and sometimes when updating some plugins cannot be used, many tests must be done before uploading an internet code for WordPress because it can damage the whole portal.

Most of the world's webpages are powered by this

Reviewed 4 years ago

Good solid software to run and manage whole websites from simple blogs to front ends of scientific software submission portals.

Pros

It is the one and only webpage maker that I have used and although not a designer myself, the use of themes has made it easy for content to be made attractive. Now with integrations, one can run a whole interactive website with embedded apps from WordPress.

Cons

It is simple to use and one can get your website up and running in no time but when you want something more customizable, you need to get theme which costs money.

A fantastic tool to create fast and beautiful web portals.

Pros

The great variety of templates and plugin that gives us an infinite personalization to our web portals. It has a facility to modify our contents quickly and effectively.

Cons

Having a large number of plugins and templates makes the learning curve more hard. It requires a lot of knowledge to change a template. It is better to look for another template than to modify an already created one.

It's no surprise that Wordpress is the #1 choice for CMS

Reviewed 3 years ago

If the fact of most of the internet - from little company landing pages to big news portals - uses Wordpress as the CMS of choice isn't enough, I don't know what is.

Pros

Wordpress is simple, beautiful, versatile, light and you can do absolutely anything with a plugin. Oh, and it's also free!

Cons

Wordpress support comes from its forums mostly, which is fair for a free service. But there moments where its somewhat difficult to resolve some issues.

Easy and Powerful

Reviewed 3 years ago

We have implemented wordpress for portals of food industry companies successfully, our next step is to make implementations where it integrates with our ERP software, so that it can interact in a better way with customers.

Pros

We started using it about a year ago, the first thing we observed was how fast its learning curve is and how easy it was to use it, once understood. With some advanced knowledge, great customization of websites can be achieved. Its ability to alert new updates allows you to keep the system up to date, minimizing security risks.

Cons

It is Open source, and although a large number of plugins and themes can be found, many of them have limited functionality, since most are reserved for paid versions. It could be a problem if you just want to test the framework.

Simply the best CMS

Reviewed 5 months ago

Both the largest web portals and small personal blogs use WordPress and so do I. It surely can comply with your need, but sometimes some you're going to need a developer or may be better to look for some dedicated CMSs.

Pros

WordPress is reliable, highly customizable, and has a giant community developing new plugins, templates, or just helping you figure out some bug.

Cons

WordPress isn't the easiest to install and to get to the point where you're good to go. It demands a little technical knowledge and time to explore. Some CMSs are better in this way.

My experience with wordpress

Reviewed 3 years ago

For more than five years, I work with WordPress, managing and building websites, stores, portals, courses and even web systems Despite the ups and downs, wordpress is a great tool and has helped me a lot since I was a beginner

Pros

Open source means that anyone with knowledge can access the source code of the software and use it as they see fit. In addition, because it is open source, anyone can thoroughly study the functioning of the CMS and develop high-level themes and plugins. In my opinion, WordPress has the most advanced interface between the main CMSs on the market WordPress is well-developed, structured and documented software Being free is a very high point of WordPress. You don't have to spend a dime to start building blogs and websites.

Cons

Security, because wordpress is very popular, it's always in the crosshairs of hackers, which requires us to always keep an eye on the update And keeping Wordpress up to date is very difficult

Building a website with Wordpress

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Wordpress allows you to create an aesthetically appealing website comparable to custom websites of popular companies. The platform allows you to organize the website in a variety of layouts with different visuals and functions. It seamlessly integrates desktop and mobile versions. All this is possible without the need to know a single line of code.

Cons

Wordpress is complicated and hard to navigate for beginners. It can be difficult to customize the website as desired due to the numerous portals poorly labelled in the sidebar. The platform also focuses more on the desktop version of the website which makes it harder to customize the mobile version. Furthermore, different add ons require purchasing which takes away from the appeal of building your own website with Wordpress.

Excellent CMS, which allows creating flexible sites

Reviewed 5 years ago

- Convenient administrator panel; - Support for themes and plug-ins; - Automatic installation of important updates; - Active OpenSourse-community, developing and developing CMS; - Rapid elimination of critical vulnerabilities by the developer community.

Pros

I'm engaged in Web development and I constantly have to deal with different CMS and platforms, on the basis of which websites and portals work. Of all the CMS I had to work with, I selected WordPress for myself, which I often use to develop sites of medium complexity. In CMS WordPress you can create business cards, sell pages, corporate websites, as well as full-fledged online stores (by expanding the capabilities of CMS with the WooCommerce plugin). CMS WordPress is a fairly safe system, subject to competent tuning and quality service.

Cons

Since WordPress was launched in 2003 and was originally intended for blogging, the CMS has an outdated structure and logic of work for the sake of maintaining compatibility and the ability to update sites created many years ago.

The platform we have built our business off of.

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

We have used WordPress for the entire life of our business for every website we have built. We chose WordPress for the ease of use for our clients. The Admin portals are easy to use and over all of the features that our clients wanted. It also was simple for us to upload our custom themes into WordPress. We also use WordPress for the thousands of plugins available. This greatly reduces our build time and saves us and our clients time and money. The user interface is simple and easy to use, which was also a big plus for us.

Cons

We don't have any major issues with WordPress since we can customize it as much as we need.

WordPress is with merit the most used CMS in the world

Reviewed a year ago

I've been using WP for almost 10 years. At the beginning I tried other CMS to understand which one was the best to develop my clients' websites and shops. And at least in my experience, WP is by far the best CMS. In my years of work I have developed successful websites and shops with WP and easily created portals and multilingual marketplaces. I believe and appreciate this CMS so much that it is the only one I teach to my students (private or companies) when it comes to learning how to develop websites or shops.

Pros

Before going into detail, I will summarize WP with terms such as ease, flexibility and quality. One fact: WP is now used by over 40% of all sites and has over 60% market share among open source CMS. WP allows you to easily develop all kinds of blogs, sites and shops. Although I recommend learning the basic CSS / HTML commands to be autonomous in the easiest customizations to the code, anyone can use...

Cons

The only situation, in my opinion, on which you could expect an improvement, is related to the fact that when you install a lot of plugins, usually more than 20, the navigation in the backend of the site really slows down. That's also why, if you have to develop a site with many plugins in addition, I recommend you to buy hosting on a tier provider. I for example have been using DominiOk for years because of the server performance that I'm satisfied with and also for the support (they are very good, pro-active and fast in responding). A due clarification: what I have just described is a problem of all CMS! I took the liberty to note it because I'm sure the WP community will improve this aspect as well.
