Wordpress is the platform for the modern content delivery

2019-02-01

Positive, when the foundational Wordpress installation is managed by a cloud provider such as GoDaddy or Bluehost.

Pros

Over the years the software package has evolved from being a platform to design the delivery of the individual sites (i.e. individual site builders), to be the platform for the software vendors to deliver application solutions (i.e. shopping sites, photography galleries, blogger platforms etc). In plain english, from being the solution to being the foundation of the solution, a LEGO of the modern online presence. The hosting standard.

Cons

The general complexity of the solution combined with ancient programming language (PHP) results in increased cyber security risk profile. I would be vary to use the solution beyond a small size enterprise.

WordPress is the best website option!

2019-01-07

Unlike wix, or godaddy, WordPress never has any glitches.

Pros

I absolutely love WordPress. I use it to design all of my websites. First of all, it’s free. Secondly, when you purchase custom themes and customized your website to your linking. And thirdly, it offers the best way to store and organize large amounts of information without glitches—- like so many other website platforms.

Cons

What I don’t like is that the free templates are very limited, and you need to learn some CSS and html code in order to edit them.

Wordpress

Our business website is created using Wordpress hosted on GoDaddy using 3rd party add-ons.

Pros

Free, full control of your website, easy to customize with free/cheap templates, almost unlimited 3rd party tools available

Cons

Security, backups, updates are all your responsibility even though they can be automated. No drag and drop website builder. Advanced websites still require some coding knowledge.

Great for high-level websites, but go elsewhere for quick and easy projects

2019-03-15

Often, clients with whom I work have website needs that are complicated, and more narrow than most website building programs can offer. WordPress hits the mark in this regard, but can be difficult to use and train new users with.

Pros

There are so many features and widgets that can be employed that Squarespace, GoDaddy, Wix, etc just don't offer.

Cons

Creating and maintaining sites through WordPress can be more time-consuming and cumbersome than the more user-friendly platforms like Squarespace, GoDaddy, Wix, etc.

Wordpress is the Only Design Software You Need

2018-10-11

I create, design and manage wordpress sites through integrations with godaddy and hubspot and have been doing so for the past 10 years or so.

Pros

Wordpress is the only website building software I use and have used for the past 10 years. It is exactly to install and easy to teach clients how to write bligs.

Cons

A couple of years ago I would have said it needed a crm aspect but it now integrates with hubspot so no complaints on my end.

Wordpress

2018-10-29

Pros

I like wordpress.org versus wordpress.com. Many people don't know there is a difference. Wordpress.org allows you to host your site on your own and you get more flexibility with creating your site via the different wordpress themes and platforms. There's a lot of freedom with websites to create. The first time I realized the power of wordpress was when I found out Bestbuy's website was built using wordpress. It is an awesome platform and fully responsible for different devices.

Cons

If you're hosting through godaddy, godaddy is your support specifically for hosting.

Wordpress is complete CMS for build the website it is very good software.

2018-05-25

Pros

WordPress is very user-friendly and easy to use by beginners and expert because it tell step by step to the user and it is drag and drop feature.

Cons

I think it has less security feature that's why 'Godaddy provides us extra security, it updates the WordPress weekly so this is annoying the user.

WordPress is Awesome

2018-10-29

I've tried wix GoDaddy etc. But WordPress surpasses them all in my opinion.

Pros

There are a TON of pros with WordPress! The overall functionality of the WordPress platform and all the additional plugins you can get to completely customize your site and truly make it one of a kind.

Cons

Cons is bare minimum. Only cons I encountered for me was the constant security updates.

More complicated than it needs to be.

2019-04-17

Kind of stuck with it - now that the Gutenberg take-over is done and we're forced to live in Gutenberg occupation, it's okay. Just don't think it's all as easy and easy to use as it's presented.

Pros

We moved out website to a managed WordPress account with GoDaddy a couple of years ago - and this was fantastic.

Cons

The inexplicable change to Gutenberg - hyped as a simple way to build/maintain your website. We have a static site and it was a nightmare to make changes. Gutenberg is always being presented as "simple" and "intuitive" - but I'm a proficient user in in WordPress and my experience was awful. Suddenly you had to get acquainted with a whole new way of doing things - that's not easier, it's an overhaul I didn't ask for. Layout is not precise - it's much more difficult to get a page to appear exactly as you envision it.

So use to blog with

2018-08-01

Pros

I really like how easy it is to blog using Wordpress. I hardly know any sort of web-related stuff and was able to set up a beautiful website and post.

Cons

Love everything about Wordpress, but it was a little hard for me to get my site onto GoDaddy. With the help of their customer service, however, I was able to get going.

The best website platform I have ever used.

2018-05-06

Pros

In web development, I used many different platforms. WordPress is by far the most versatile. In addition, the hundreds of available themes, templates, and plugins enhance the capabilities.

Cons

However, switching to GoDaddy or BlueHost, and using WordPress, I am able to use iframe commands.

Full featured platform for non-web developers

2018-06-06

Pros

Compatible with thousands of other SaaS platforms making Wordpress very powerful. Wordpress is accessible to a non-developer but at the same time you can drop raw code to add specific features making it a very customization platform.

Not nearly as easy to use as a GoDaddy Sites, or 1&1 etc...

Simple, easy to use

2018-05-13

Pros

WordPress is simple and easy to use, which is great. There are TONS of tutorials, overviews, help threads, etc. to support you when needed, and lots of flexibility in building your blog or site.

Cons

We used GoDaddy, and the communication was poor from both parties to help us integrate.

Great for building & maintaining a simple website

2019-03-31

I run a small music promotion company and my company's website is built on WordPress. Sometimes it gets mistaken for a blog, which is annoying, but I guess I set myself up for that. Overall I'm happy - I've had my WordPress website for ten years now and I'm not looking to change!

Pros

No need for GoDaddy here! This is a very easy to use platform for even a simpleton like me.

Cons

They recently switched to a block editor, which has both pros and cons. It takes away some control I previously had over the design (and I'm not advanced enough to edit fully in html, the only alternative now). One the other hand it made some stuff easier so this is only half a con.

WordPress is the best platform for your website!

2019-01-25

I have designed sites in Wix, GoDaddy, Dreamer and WordPress and my favorite has been WordPress.

Pros

Yes, it is easier to get a cheap GoDaddy or Wix site but that won't function well nor last long.

Cons

WordPress has million of templates but the problem is that they're not easy to customize. Customizations often require knowledge of code like CSS or Java Script which means that you will need to hire some professional to do this for you.

Active Wordpress Admin and User for years

2018-05-29

Pros

I actively used Wordpress for my business website for multiple years across multiple platform (Microsoft, GoDaddy, and others).

Cons

I didn't love having to do regular software updates for upgrades for plug-ins, but they are necessary for support for changes to APIs (Google, Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, etc., security, etc). That said, Wordpress made those upgrades fairly painless and always flawless. I never once had a web site outage due to Wordpress or any of the WP plugins.

I've really enjoyed using WordPress!

Pros

This software has a lot of features, functionality, and themes.

Cons

For someone who is not familiar, and is only looking to set up and maintain a simple website for their small business, I recommend them using another platform such as Squarespace, Weebly, Wix or GoDaddy.

Simply the best web building platform

2018-12-07

Certainly an argument can be made for hosting the site on GoDaddy or some other hosting platform, but in terms of site building, it's second to none.

Pros

WordPress is free, it has every possible web building, editing and managing feature I need, it has great templates and its the easiest platform to use. It also integrates with seemingly everything, and everyone knows how to use it. This is not only convenient, but the fact that it's universally used cuts down our learning curve with new clients and enables us to prioritize higher value tasks like marketing campaigns, etc. Furthermore, the analytics are top notch as well. Not just for a free program, but for any web building program.

Cons

There is no automatic updating option when edits and new aspects are added to websites, so new users need to make a note of that to do it manually. Furthermore, WordPress is not known for its security, so this is definitely something to keep an eye on, in terms of data managed on the WordPress server. Finally, like with anything free, there are limitations; for example, there are a limited number of themes and plug-ins with which to build the site. So if you're looking for ready-made options to quickly build a website, this may be trickier than you think.

Wordpress is an awesome easy to use web site all in one deal

2018-09-06

On the side I like to help people get a good deal and not just sign up with godaddy because they are kinda terrible.

Pros

I like how functional it is. There is a TON of variety in what you can do plus plenty of premium options if you need something just a step up from what you had. Paid plugins with lots of support usually (but those are 3rd party to wordpress so enough about those) wordpress updates are easy and quick. It's a great platform to use

Cons

I have a hard time finding something I like least. Any of my complaints are usually with 3rd party plugins that don't have anything to do with wordpress. They are constantly improving and making things easier for us.

What a great product for a great value

2019-04-01

Pros

WordPress is a AMAZING software for any business or individual. I believe that it is the most customizable website or blog builder in the industry. This program is like an artists brush and the canvas is white for the users. I have been able to make anything possible with hard work and some creativity. I have used this software for my company's website as well as for an online resume (showing who I am and what I do). Best website builder in the business

Cons

With Webble and GoDaddy, they are a little easier on the user.

I wanted to build a website and tried Word Press.

2018-05-11

Since I was passionate about building my own website, I was very interested in learning more about how Word Press worked and within a couple of hours (maybe 10) I felt like I understood enough about the platform to feel comfortable. The billing process was easy and the integration process wasn't very complicated. Compared to other website builder, I found WordPress to be the easiest and simple to navigate. But you will need to invest some time into the process if you really want to have a great looking website. Invest the time with WordPress, you won't be disappointed.

Pros

I like how simple the process is. They make it easy to navigate and simple to us. You pick the kind of website you are looking for based on what you are wanting to accomplish and Word Press make the suggestions. It isn't hard to figure what additional things you might want to customize and how long it might take to get what you want customized and finished. The ADMIN page is simple and easy to navigate and the billing process is also easy to read and understand.

Cons

It took me a while to figure out how to add my domain name and it was more of a detailed process with GoDaddy then it was with WordPress.

Easy to use, easy to learn. No programming involved.

Pros

Upload it to a web hosting company such as GoDaddy and deploy it, it's that simple.

One of the best blogging platforms out there

2018-10-23

We use it as a pure blogging tool, a way to extend our website beyond a traditional website sense as far as content culling goes. It makes easier for us to syndicate across all platforms without much leg work and open more eyeballs to our content. So far we have had a pretty good experience and it helps that our server provider provides Wordpress as a One-Click Install.

Pros

You can also scale Wordpress to be a CMS or even one's website, they have tools, themes and plugins to make it happen, kind of a like DIY website builder if you want more scaling and customization beyond what is offered by the likes of GoDaddy.

Cons

The interface can be very daunting at times, almost to a fault and to the point where one may want to use a third party platform that can connect into the Wordpress API with just as many features, but in a more easier interface to use, like WYSIWG. Plugins are often not updated as soon as WP brings out a major update to the platform and spam runs rampant despite the slew of anti-spam plugins designed to augment what is likely one of the more weaker anti-spam base platforms out of any blogging tool out there.

2019-04-05

Pros

I think GoDaddy has really come a long way since its inception. They've become more affordable and robust and their new design and marketing direction has really made them feel less gimmicky.

GoDaddy Website Builder lets you create your complete website just by adding widgets to a base templete. Templates provide a very good starting point. You can add headings, text images just by selecting them from pallet menu and customizing them. WIthing a few minutes your website would be completely ready in front of you.

Easy Website Builder for Beginners

2018-08-16

I have used Website Builder by GoDaddy for at least 4 years and used it as my main blog until I migrated over to Wordpress. I enjoyed using it because it gave me the confidence to upgrade to a Wordpress blog.

Pros

I love the fact that this platform makes is very user-friendly and easy for anybody to use and design without any website building experience or knowledge. The drop and drag feature gives you to option to place your widgets and preview them before they are live. The website builder platform from GoDaddy allows you to add social media and comments to your blog so that they can be shared by your visitors. You can easily use this software to create and publish a blog in a day or less.

Cons

I would even prefer to pay more money to get additional features similar to what Wordpress offers including plugins.

Positive experience but couldn't do all I wanted to do, and many professionals are using WordPress - I had to hire a professional eventually.

Pros

Excellent user friendly software to host my retail clothe store without any programming knowledge

2018-07-26

I could have my website for my retail store launched within 30 minutes !

Pros

Though I am open to new learning tweaking Wordpress and can design websites on Wordpress, yet I chose GoDaddy Website Builder as templates with this software are visually appealing and I could launch my clothing retail store within 30 minutes.

Cons

I still believe there is a room for improvement. For instance, if you later want to change the template, entire content needs to be uploaded once again. This is perhaps the biggest drawback. Yet, as the entire website still takes less than 30 minutes to finish, I do not mind.

Pros

I like that GoDaddy now has a managed Wordpress option and I feel like they've really stepped up their backend interface.

Does the job but not the best

2018-11-28

I've used this builder because the client insisted for everything to be under one roof - domain, hosting, builder - as I had to eventually equip the client to handle the website on her own. I found it fairly easy to use but I found the output to be not very impressive.

Pros

It comes bundled with the domain and hosting you buy so having everything under one umbrella is possibly the only pro this website builder has that's going for it.

Cons

If you've ever used WordPress' page builder, you'll find GoDaddy's lacking in ease of use, UI, and just simple overall functionality.

Like I said above they don't have as many options as a wix or Wordpress but it's still easy to use and works well.

Not a fan

2018-05-09

None, we switched almost immediately to Wordpress. Again, for someone who has 0 tech knowledge and only needs a static page or two, it isn't a bad option.

Pros

That anyone can build a website if they can read and use a mouse. It is extremely simple to use and there is no maintenance required.

Cons

After using Wordpress where the options are literally limitless, the limitations for the GD builder make it obsolete in spite of the ease of use.

A Decent, but not the best Website Builder for Novice User

2018-10-22

Decent website builder, but better options available.

Pros

If you're not sure on integrations of platforms like Wordpress. GoDaddy does it for you.

Cons

Not enough functionality, not as intuitive as other builders like wix, and square space.

Best Platform For Hosting Ive Used

2018-09-11

Pros

One click install for all of the major applications like Magento, Wordpress, etc.

Cons

You have to know exactly what hosting plan you need for your website or you may run the risk of it running super slow especially with Wordpress sites.

Pros

For basic web building and needs it can get someone from nothing to site live in no time. Those with little web experience will feel comfortable.

Cons

It's not going to be as powerful as going direct to Wordpress or other building engines.

Good for a simple website but that is it.

2018-12-18

I really have only used this as a temporary website while I was building a Wordpress website.

Pros

Website builder is for someone who wants an online presence but does not how to build websites. It is very simple and easy to use for users.

Cons

It is easy to use but it isn't good for SEO, you don't get any plugins and there are not a whole lot of options. It is only for a one or two page website in my opinion.

Pros

GoDaddy's website builder makes it quick and easy to get a website up and running once you set up your domain. Plus, the customer support is great if you need some assistance.

Cons

If you're planning on developing the website in the future, WordPress might be a better option.

Best Website Builder

2018-11-23

Pros

I like the templates are available for each category whether it's an online store for watches or Garments or whether it's consultants website they have a template for each category with Free stock images.

Cons

The price is high in my opinion because there are Free tools available like Wordpress with the same functions so they should differentiate themselves with a free service like Web hosting

Websites up and running in a blink

2018-03-09

If you need a bit of hand holding this is the way to go for website development!

Pros

This is both WYSIWYG and hand holding for those who are new to website development but don't want or can't afford to have someone design a website for the business. The GoDaddy support staff is always super helpful!

Cons

I feel there's a limitation on what can be done with site on this platform and we've since moved toward the Wordpress feature which you can still host on your GoDaddy account.

Great DIY or starter solution

2019-01-01

As a freelance web designer, I have set many clients up with the GoDaddy Website Builder. It's a very affordable solution for folks who want to make their own changes and handle maintenance themselves (but lack experience or technical know-how).

Pros

The interface really is intuitive, and you can accomplish a whole lot without any design, coding, or significant tech experience. A great DIY option for small business owners looking for a straightforward and manageable, yet professional website.

Cons

Also, GoDaddy does not support nearly as many integrations as somebody like Squarespace or WordPress.
