Pros

Great solution to build landing pages / small & big websites with low budget - but if you got the money the results will be amazing.
If you are a person who has many thoughts that you would like to publish or perhaps you like fashion and want to show that interest, then WorldPress is your best friend.
WordPress is really an amazing content management system, that allows you to build stunning and amazing websites within few hours.

Pros

It's user friendly and you don't need html experience in order to build a great, mobile-friendly site.
All the templates allow you to completely customize every element. You aren't bound by colors or have certain elements that must stay.
The software is very intuitive so you can easily figure out how to produce the results you want.

Cons

We've found ourselves stalled out badly with problems at times because a theme or plugin had terrible support.
The biggest problem with WordPress is the lack of understanding that it is a blog software.
As a result, I'm forced to disapprove and delete spam comments individually, and when you get hundreds of these kind of spam comments each week, you can imagine that it can be frustrating.

Cons

ALSO this happened earlier this year and it was ongoing for a month - this time it will be an estimated 3 weeks before it is fixed... ridiculous.
The only problem is that the templates and other items are very outdated. Some of the items such as page backround, buttons and element are the same elements that were on there 12 years ago.
Difficulty getting support, when you do—they lie and cause more problems.

Making Websites is Easy

Reviewed 3 years ago

Websites made easy, we can now deliver websites on even shorter notice.

Pros

Fully featured CMS and WP have full community support available on the internet. We have developed several websites with WordPress and found a theme and plugin nearly for every work that needs to be done. Wordpress is drag and drop when it comes to non-programmer and AK-47 when you are a developer.

Cons

WP has some Compatibility issues with some of PHP versions which cause your website to some stability issues.

Great when updates don't break things

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall Wordpress has been solid and you can do a lot without having to pay anything. Hopefully they get the current bugs out soon. For example, 5.2.2 which is a maintenance release still broke a number of my websites.

Pros

Wordpress has been around for more than a decade so the community and 3rd party support is incredible. There are plugins to do just about anything. A little more work is needed but better than getting stuck paying for a monthly SaaS.

Cons

Gutenberg so far is very limited and I've had multiple updates break websites which is awful when you have client websites to maintain.

I've used Wordpress for local business websites, corporate websites, and ecommerce websites. It is by far the most flexible CMS out there.

Sometimes, plugins can take some effort to work perfectly. Things can be a little clunky at times, however that is to be expected with a free platform.

Everything. I can build websites so easily, I don't need to be a programmer anymore, to be able to create good-looking, highly functional sites. Oh, and blogging's never been this easy.

Cons

Sometimes the websites load slower than they should, especially when you use a lot of plugins, but i don't think that's a fault of Wordpress alone. Other than this, nothing.

Wordpress - Not just for blogs

Reviewed 2 years ago

Wordpress is the most flexible platform I've used. I've used it for blogging as well as ecommerce websites. There's even themes to build a company intranet hub using Wordpress. If you can dream it.. you can probably build it with Wordpress.

Pros

Wordpress makes it easy to setup a website if you have some experience with Website building. 1000s of great plugins are available to do just about anything you can think to do. Wordpress isn't just for blogging.. you can build any type of website with it.

Cons

Because Wordpress is a dynamic website CMS, the websites tend to load slower with Wordpress than with Static HTML websites. With a good caching plugin or fast host, you can get around some of this limitation.. but you can't beat static websites for simpler projects.

Dated Technology - Not worth it

Reviewed 9 years ago

I have been using Homestead since 2001, their technology is behind the times and I am migrating all of my clients and their websites off to Bluehost with Wordpress. The technology is not HTML5 which if you do your research is important - your website needs to be responsive - so it automagically fits on whatever device the person is browsing on and Homestead does not use this technology and they do not plan on it - or let you use wordpress. They are too expensive when you consider you can have a hosting site for 100 a year plus use the latest technology from wordpress - which is what over 50% of the global websites are built on. No brainer - Homestead is a dinosaur who has not kept up with the times. Sad to say...

Pros

easy to use

Cons

Their email service is a joke - in the past 2 weeks - I have had my email bounced back and not received. ALSO this happened earlier this year and it was ongoing for a month - this time it will be an estimated 3 weeks before it is fixed... ridiculous!
