Wordpress vs Slack Comparison

What I liked about this platform is that it readily integrates with a number of other tools I use such as wordpress, TFS and others

The plugin library is extendabe but I would like to see more examples. Also the authenication model is hard to work with, espessialy when using a web based clients to which multiple users log in. It will be nice to have an IRC protocol wrapper

I liked the ability to choose which groups to follow and which conversations to be a part of, with many ways to personal your options.

I struggled to follow some of the conversations. Perhaps this was more due to the organization and writing of those in the group, but I found it generally difficult to find answers to my questions.

The Slack integrated chat tool allows us to share all kinds of files regardless of the format they may have. Slack is integrated into social media pages, so we can share the information of our work through them. We also liked to track our visitors.

The platform has demonstrated difficulties in maintaining its performance when working with online services for content management (CMS) as in the case of the Wordpress platform. Does not include good conference tools for audio and video.

Very easy to chat with others in the office without the distraction of personal or other professional contacts. Skype was too easily accessible for others, where Slack does a better job of weeding out the riff raff (no spam!).

With so many chat / communication options, it's difficult to get people to adopt a single one in a company. The free version is pretty acceptable for smaller businesses, but if you want to be able to take advantage of more seats and message history, you're going to have to upgrade.

Slack is pretty easy to use even for beginner users. It works pretty well on both Android and IOS platforms. Is not just for messaging but for sharing links, files, archive conversations for future reference. You can create both private and public conversations. It can be integrated with other platforms too, like Wordpress and Google Drive.

Slack is not very affordable for everyone. Its pretty limited for free plans. Slack space can be filled really quickly, especially with a large team users.

Slack connects with everything! use the chat, make groups, share, Slack is a must! I use it when I work remotely with my clients, they can view the story, share files, send alerts, have connections to everything, for example: Dropbox, Google calendar, trello, Ifttt, zapier, rss, wordpress, etc. You can use it on your phone or computer, just download the app and you're done.

On the other hand, I find that I like it so much that I get distracted by the application, I like to check it, I send emojis, I send photos I think it's a little addictive. LOL !

Slack has become our 'go to tool' for internal communication, collaboration, and resource sharing at work. Whether conferencing or chatting with one employee or several, Slack enables us to quickly ask questions, share ideas, and post helpful resources with one another in a safe, secure environment. In Slack, all of our conversations and resources are archived and searchable, helping users reference important discussions that happened days, weeks, or even months ago. In addition, Slack features a very robust API, allowing integration with third party application like Wordpress, Salesforce, and email marketing platforms.

Slack has been incredibly industrious with their product roadmap, releasing new features at an aggressive pace. It would be very helpful if there were accompanying notifications, tutorials, and/or webinars that were available for users to help ease them into seeing the new changes. It can sometimes be a bit unnerving when changes occur that users are not aware of and this sometimes happens with Slack.

there's a great deal of things I like about slack, beside the way that it is utilised for correspondence, it can be coordinated with loads of programming, for example, google drive, opsgenie, and even Wordpress. that is the best thing that I like about slack. we used to coordinate it with different applications so at whatever point we have to accomplish something there, we can take care of business with Slack other than that, I can make private channel which is adds security to all correspondence inside our organization.

File sharing needs a great deal of change. It is highly unlikely we can have a view for all documents transferred in a specific channel or gathering talk

Persistent storage of messages across platforms. Markdown formatting and emoji shortcuts. Integration with a large number of online services. The free version is good enough for most of my uses

Extremely resource heavy. My computer hangs at times when using Slack. I have to create an account and password for every community I join. Why Can't I have one password attached to one email address for all of Slack. Slack is not popular locally ( Zimbabwe ), so local software communities are mostly built on WhatsApp
