Use to have a wordpress webpage, now there are plenty of other options available, that are less of a hassle. Lost too much time with the plugins in the past, rather stick with a better suite option. SquareSpace for instance. Moreover, social media is now often the first interaction potential customers will have, so my focus is more on that end. The rise of various online marketplaces, Etsy, OpenSky, Amazon, etc. is as important as your company website.
Easier than having to code and work with a developer, can have a designer instead. Also you probably already have a graphics/designer person.
Is it really necessary? Between suites, marketplaces, and social media, why?

Social Media Marketing and branding my business.
Wordpress is good software for website platform which it is easy to use and catch up. I am a new user of it but I can work on it after a few weeks. There is plenty of plugin and theme available in the market. It is easy to use and work on a website for both developer and user experiences. I would recommend for you if you are looking at content management services. Cheers
It is costly for custom plugin and theme.

An excellent platform! Can be a little hard to get the full benefit from for those less familiar with more advanced online work. But once you get going, it is a very fluid and fun set up. It integrates well with other social media making it easy to be efficient across different platforms.
Integration with social media, solid customer service
Need to be quite savvy to get full benefit

Wordpress easy to use to create your website, make yourself known on all known social networks since there are free plugins to integrate the main social networks to wordpress and thus increase visits to the web.
I like Wordpress since it is the easiest CMS to use, it doesn’t require so much technical knowledge, I could say that its 3 main advantages are: 1- it is optimized for SEO more than any other CMS. 2- there is an enormous amount of Plugins available for many things. 3- there is a huge catalog of themes to choose the design that best suits any topic. With wordpress creating a website is very simple, whether it is a business website or a personal blog, something I like is that migrating from one hosting to another with wordpress is easier than other CMS, in terms of security Wordpress has native support for HTTPS certificates, which makes it easier and improves the trust for visitors, which is why Wordpress is the most popular CMS and according to statistics epose 60% of the market share.
Something I don't like about wordpress is that many of the plugins and themes have to be updated manually, this sometimes takes time. Another issue is that if you have a problem and want support is somewhat complicated, it is easier to search the internet for a solution than to contact support.

Text-based website as a platform for an advocacy initiative.
Once installed (which non-technical people may need help with), most of us will find WP a super-flexible - countless themes & plugins available - & fairly intuitive way of getting their thoughts out to the world...
Absence of social media integration - lots of plugins available, but would much prefer this to be included in the core installation.

Love being about to set up my post in advance to social media.
I love being able to schedule my post to social media sights in advance and then not have to worry about them.
It can be a little confusing to use until you get the hang of it. Don't change anything else because then it will be even more confusing.

WordPress is OK. It's just that sometimes it feels like a social network.
You can simply make a website whether you're looking for a basic design or a more advanced design and use your WordPress site as your official website.
Free URL is a long and it can throw people off when visiting your site. Would have to pay just to get a more flexible URL.

Well, my experience is an intriguing one. It has an integrated link management system that directly displays my posts on my Facebook page and other linked pages. It simplifies formatting and styling of texts by converting regular texts to smart quotes. Also, I like the fact that I can make a draft, save it and upload later.
It has an interactive interface for me and my website visitors. It has made web content writing and email marketing a lot easier.
At first I found it stressful to link my social media accounts like LinkedIn, Facebook to it but that was then.

Wordpress is easy to use. we use it to quickly publish attorney profiles and blogs. We can edit text easily and in corporate links and photos in a snap!
The only issue I have is the amounts of updates. It seems I always have to update. They are easy updates though.

I save money because I can manage my blog that also feeds my social networks.
It is easy to manage and operate, due to its high demand and widespread use it is very easy to learn how to manage it. My blog works with PHP language and it is easy to manage thanks to this system. Its benefits are almost endless, from managing several blogs to having your own website, from having templates to be transformed, to the possibility of constantly editing your content.
There is little or nothing that can be said against wordpress, as the management system is the best and I dare not explore other options because it seems unnecessary.

Wordpress has been vital to our non-profit organization as it allowed us to start a webpage for free and blog about our organization's endeavors. It allowed for a great transition into getting a domain name and continues to be a great platform for us.
The software and service is free to use which is great for non-profits. Using ".wordpress.com" felt more legitimate and professional compared to other blog software domains since Wordpress is well known and reputable. It was also extremely easy to get started and learn the software. I appreciate all of the features made available at such a great value. Especially the free layouts and presets which look sleek and cool.
There was nothing I did not like about Wordpress but I do wish they would add more social media type features for networking.

Having a good looking blog that works well with your website is essential to driving traffic to your site. Wordpress is the way to go!
- Easy to set up with my Squarespace website. - Drives more traffic to my site by enhancing our profile in Google searches. - Simple to use. - Features such as adding tags, SEO optimization and links are easy to set up.
- The pictures offered don't always work well. - The link to post to social media immediately as I post blog hasn't worked for awhile.

Easy content update, newsletter, link to social network, schedule content, better organization with the teamwork.
Of all the good things that this website developer has, I like that you can contribute with a team, security levels, the ability to create content and format it. Everything extra that you can add to improve.
The increments in hosting costs to make it faster to load. Some premium templates are not so easy to update as the lite versions.

Sprout Social has simplified, automatized and organized our work with middle and huge social media communities. We are delighted and strongly recommend it.
The smart inbox is Sprout Social defining feature. It sets Sprout Social apart from its competitors. You can manage every type of interaction (direct messages, mentions, likes, comments, replies, etc.) of all your social media profiles in one single feed which integrates functions as important as task assignment to members of your team. The smart inbox can be "splitted" into as many inboxs as necesary, depending on your needs, the size of your team, or just for getting more organized your social media feeds and timelines.
The listening features are in a transition period after Sprout Social has acquired Simply Measured. I understand they're integrating both platforms but the "deep listening" features are not available as of July 2018. Having said that, the "Reports" feature is more than enough for providing the metrics and analytics you need in your day to day work. Also, when you're working with teams of more than five or ten people, you'd like to see a thumbnail pic of them to assign tasks and stuff like that. Well, Sprout only allows the teams members to upload their personal pics through a external WordPress-based platform, Gravatar, which is a bit annoying (we're used to upload profile pics directly from our computers files). It's a minor setback, though.
