What is BitNinja?
BitNinja is a cloud-based security suite designed to protect servers from botnets, scans, and other types of web attacks. Hosting providers can use the BitNinja defense network to detect and block botnet attacks. Features include real-time IP reputation, DoS detection, malware detection, and more. By analyzing all newly added rules, BitNinja aims to provide a low false-positive rate.
BitNinja’s log analysis module requires no configuration. It can automatically recognize common log files on a server and block multiple types of attacks, such as brute force, SQL injection, directory traversal, spamming attempts, and more. Additionally, when the log analysis module detects a malicious IP, the real-time reputation module can automatically greylist it.
