My computer wasn't sure about going to the Akrutosync website.

Akruto Sync allows me to keep all of my contacts, calendars, emails, and tasks completely and timely synced between my computer and cell phone, even through multiple VPN accounts.

Via email over the course of a week, Akruto technical support worked with me to identify the problem. When returning home, data synched again immediately via WiFi on my home network, indicating that their diagnosis was correct: the hotel networks were blocking hostnames preventing synchronization. Although we couldn't solve the problem at the moment, they were supportive, very knowledgeable and courteous.

Manual Sync process on Google Pixel is difficult to find - but that may be a Google problem, not an Akruto one.

I cannot get the DNS link option to work, so I have to use the direct IP address link, which can be a problem if your IP address changes.
