Drobox review

2019-02-04

I recommend WeTransfer.

Pros

I like the ease of use and accessibility for everyone that I share with.

Cons

I don't like now that it's "Full" it keeps prompting me to add more space i.e. buy more space. Also, deleting contents within a shared folder is tedious. And if you just unshare it, you still have the files.

Dropbox Review

2018-08-28

I would use it for smaller projects, but for bigger projects I would use google drive or wetransfer.

Pros

I do like being able to upload files directly from my desktop via a drag and drop style capability. I find that it uploads my files quickly so that I can send out files to friends and cilents.

Cons

I find getting someone a dropbox link to be rather difficult and they will often need their own dropbox link in order to use it. Although many people already have dropbox, there is a lot of people that I've run into that do not have it.

Dropbox at a glance

Dropbox could offer more free storage. I mostly use it when accepting file transfers from other people.

Pros

Ease of use does not compare to, say, WeTransfer.

Cons

Not enough storage on free version and limited transfers. Forced to delete files which is inconvenient. Forced to sign-up to use the product

Tons of space, can be challening to manage

2019-02-12

Love dropbox over Google Drive and Wetransfer for its ease of use and simple desktop integration.

Pros

The dropbox interface makes it easy to share and work on projects as a group, or even just to have a simple place to keep documents for reference. The paper app bundled with the file manager is clutch for collaborations on different documents.

Cons

It can be a little difficult to sort folders if you have alot of files, especially if they have duplicates. I needed to sort a ton of photos for a client and used the desktop app over the web interface as I could open multiple tabs and place things much easier in the Mac Finder app.

Online storage service

2018-02-15

It's what might as well be called filesharing on a multi-PC system and utilizing WeTransfer. Endeavoring to resize records for sending through email is a colossal issue, and utilizing sites like WeTransfer come up short based off the quality of your web association since they depend on transferring and quickly sending, rather than simply transferring and holding up until the point that the other party chooses to download.

Pros

Secure ready to set up two variables of validation. Probability to store distinctive sorts of records on the web. Possessed the capacity to get to my documents from any area with having to physically convey them. Forming highlight enables me to backpedal and see changes or analyze content. Capacity to reestablish erased records. Offer particular records or envelopes with particular clients. Incorporation with different applications enables me to keep an online reinforcement of substance. Consequently spares screen captures of my PC. Reinforcement pictures taken with my telephone. Stage is exceptionally helpful to review, share, or alter online Microsoft Office documents. Open windows document pioneer from web form. Enable distinctive levels of authorizations to client for a similar record or envelope. Ready to work at the same time on a document.

The best of its kind

2018-04-10

Pros

I use a lot of file transfer/sharing services, and for a lot of files, there is nothing better than dropbox. It is easy to share files and tailor permissions for other users, and it is so well known that at this point almost everyone has an account and understands basic functions on the app.

Cons

When I have something very simple to send or I'm sending to a company with very high security I will have to use wetransfer to send files.

Dropbox is a really usefull tool, but still needs improvement. Its set up is not as easy

2018-05-14

Sharing files with ease.

Pros

The best functionality of this software is being able to store content in the cloud and share it seamlessly. Sharing files is really easy making it a great tool for collaborations during projects.

Cons

When sharing files it would be easier to download them through a link, like wetransfer does.

2018-03-17

That´s cool, better than wetransfer. Also, you can share files and make comments.

Pros

The free version isn´t good, only 2GB of capacity. the business one it has 50 gb of capacity, that´s good but is too expensive .

Not what it used to be

2018-04-24

Pros

People can still send me files that I can download and it's easy enough for me to download from the initial screen without saving it to my own Dropbox.

Cons

It has be become unwieldy and, besides the fact that I can't tell if someone to whom I've sent a file has downloaded it or not (which other apps do, such as WeTransfer), I have trouble finding files that others have sent to me.

I used Dropbox for a long time before I realized G Suite had most of what we needed, for less

2018-05-09

I was able to share and / or transfer a large number of files with a variety of clients working in different locations. It was relatively easy, but we ultimately moved on to using other tools that better suited our business needs.

Pros

My business used Dropbox Business for a number of large marketing projects (video, web, design) where file sizes tend to be large. Having 2TB of space came in handy when we had to transfer large files like videos or design assets. File recovery came in handy on occasions and it was easy once we were up and running to share and collaborate with others.

Cons

We adapted by using things like WeTransfer to send smaller file sizes and these days tend to use Google Drive for a lot more.

WeTransfer - For What You Need it's Totally Worth It

2019-03-10

and I can't use another more ubiquitous solution like DropBox.

Pros

Easy 1 click ability to send big files to those who need a big file file (and don't have dropbox). Great UI Easy to send No registration FREE* (with restrictions)

Cons

A problem-based solution in terms of if you don't have Dropbox (or similar) solution because of cost or technical limitations so it's not a daily need - it's like that allen wrench you bought to put your bike together - you never need it except for a few times a year.

Quick Way to Send Large Files

2018-12-12

I avoid crashing people's inboxes by sending files to vendors, clients and stakeholders via WeTransfer for review and work.

Pros

I like that it's easy to use and send large files between stakeholders. It's one of the many options out there and it's free to send up to 2 gigs, so when we have large media files like videos we don't have to pay for a membership.

Cons

I find this mind-numbingly simple to use and this and/or Dropbox are kind of a must for anyone who needs to route large files around.

No Fuss

2019-02-04

Pros

Personally, I like the interface a bit better than Dropbox, especially for one-off projects.

Cons

If the free version could just go up to 5 gigs, that would be incredible. But being able to send 2 at a time is still incredibly helpful.

Better than CloudApp

2019-03-19

We had switched from CloudApp which got more and more expensive for us over time and we do not regret it.

Pros

We're able to just drag and drop our files and the upload is much faster than Dropbox or CloudApp.

Cons

Having links deleted without prior notice on the free version of WeTransfer. Also, we would love it if WeTransfer finally released an API that we could use within our product.

Quick way to send large files

2018-12-21

Ive used other platforms before such as DropBox - but WeTransfer by far has been the best and more user friendly.

Pros

I have been using the free version of this software - sending and receiving files is very simple. There isn't any login required to receive the files. Simply upload into WeTransfer and the recipient will get them immediately . Though, you are limited to 2gb.

Cons

There aren't many complaints to this. It's a pretty straight forward service - I mentioned the 2gb limit; however, that could be solved with the paid version. One thing that I would like to see are greater time limits for when you can download the attachment. Currently, it is set to one week.

Great Alternative To Dropbox!

2019-01-31

Pros

I now mainly use my Dropbox just for storage, and WeTransfer has found its place in my workflow as the dominant application for person-to-person file sharing.

Cons

I can see how WeTransfer could seem limiting for people who are used to storing their information on a platform and sharing it that way - but WeTransfer was never designed to be such an application, and functions smoothly and perfectly in what it promises.

The best way to transfer bigger files

2019-02-04

Pros

Even people who don't use Dropbox or Google Drive can use WeTransfer.

Cons

Nothing to report actually. I like the system and how it works. And, bonus, there is interesting content to read and watch once you're done with your transfer. I mean, I know they're ads, but it's genuinely interesting content about creatives, and the arts and design world, so I'm not going to complain.

A great way to send large files to clients

2019-01-31

Overall, this is a staple in my business and my go-to for sending super big files to clients!

Pros

I hate having to pay for more space in my DropBox account just to send a client a large file.

Cons

It still takes forever to upload files, but that's less of my bad a software program and more of an internet problem.

Large file transfering without hassle + speedy + minimal steps required

2019-04-01

Pros

Quick accessability without the need for signing up to register an account. Sending files that are too large to send via email is a 2-3 step pocess with WeTransfer. Simply upload the files and enter the email address of the recipient, and the file is quickly on its way being available for download via a link. The upload and download speed are superb.

Cons

I'd need a large storage capacity to make me consider WeTransfer over Dropbox Business for storage - it does have a lot going for it though!

The Best File-Sharing App

2019-02-22

WeTransfer is an incredible service and one of the best free services out there overall.

Pros

It also has an upperhand on Cloud storage services for someone like me because if I use DropBox or GDrive, I worry my clients will expect the files to live there permanently.

Cons

The only dream I have for the free version of WeTransfer is if there could somehow be a record of all the links you've generated. At least while they're active. That way if someone else wants the link, or if the client loses it, you can just reshare instead of uploading the files again.
