Although it is customizable I do wish I could have more customization such as safeguards and approval processes for over budget items

Adding new modules requires a minimum purchase of training that I often find unnecessary and would rather not be forced to pay for allowing me more budget to spend on additional needs.

Contacting ComputerEase support for any "custom" needs is very expensive and time consuming for even the most simple request.

As a result, we used other Apps for time, change orders, estimating, etc.  

It needs open API to work with other programs.   Or be cloud based, not just a program on a Citrix server.

Sometimes you have to get support involved to help building custom reports that you need - the good news is that support is very responsive.

Subcontractors will love the labor module and unit based costing reports that are available.

It has grown and continues to suit our needs and we are now a $170M company with 700 employees, almost 19 years in.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

No drilling into file from one place, you need to open 3 items to find 1item you need in job file - need collective data drill.

This is great for ease of implementation without needing to understand all of the functionality available prior to getting up and going.

The financial and job costing tools are very user friendly.

Not EDI based purchasing to keep up with vendor product catalogs.

It is missing some important features as far as having one software that does everything project management.

It does have a lot of project management/project tracking features.

I really like the subcontractor management and purchasing functions.

Some parts seem a little outdated (the overall design) but updates are taking care of that.

The customer support is amazing, they will walk you through any issue you have.

Being able to have documents e-signed without a third-party app and the QuickBooks integration that allows sending payable invoices directly from the app have been huge time-savers.

The lack of message signatures and message templates means that you are constantly going back and forth copy pasting different premade messages, which adds a lot of friction.

Similarly, document customization is near zero and i often find not being able to change logo sizes, fonts and anything else a detriment in being able to present a proposal.

Customer communication via notifications is lacking, Quotes/Estimates pdf need more customization, real time profitability calculations within a project is cumbersome.

There are a lot of features and items within the software that i assume are very helpful for many people, even though we use only a few main ones.
