SQLPro Studio overview

What is SQLPro Studio?

SQLPro Studio is a native database management client available for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows. The application provides a unified interface for connecting to and managing multiple relational database systems including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, Oracle, Snowflake, and Amazon Redshift. It is built with Swift and Objective-C on Apple platforms and as a native UWP application on Windows. The application operates without requiring Java or Electron environments which results in faster launch times and reduced system resource consumption.

The query editor features syntax highlighting, advanced autocomplete functionality, and inline error detection to support the writing and debugging of SQL statements. A tabbed interface enables management of multiple database connections and execution of concurrent queries. The application displays multiple result sets simultaneously along with associated error messages and system notifications.

The application allows creation, modification, and deletion of tables with direct row-level editing capabilities. Data import and export functions support CSV, JSON, SQL, and XML formats to facilitate data transfer and reporting. The software supports secure connection protocols including SSH tunneling for encrypted database access. It maintains compatibility with cloud database services such as Amazon Relational Database Service, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, and Heroku hosted instances. Custom appearance settings allow adjustment of themes and font sizes. On macOS platforms the application integrates with system features including Touch Bar support for quick access to frequently used commands.

The software connects directly to database servers using native protocol implementations for each supported database type without the need for third party plugins or middleware. Its architecture supports standard database connection protocols and authentication methods used by cloud providers and on premise installations. The application has been developed and maintained by Hankinsoft Development, Inc since two thousand fifteen with regular updates delivered through application stores and direct download channels.
