What is Bomberbot?
Bomberbot is an online educational platform that aims to teach basic ICT skills to primary and secondary school students. The platform offers a continuous learning curve for kindergarten through group 8 and classes 1 and 2 of the VO. All classes are listed on the teacher platform. Lessons are fully developed with lesson plans and teaching materials are provided on a unified dashboard. Teachers can also use the student-tracking system.
Lessons focus on possibilities and limitations of technology. Using media literacy module, students are taught how to be conscious and critical while using social media. In the digital information section, children learn how to search for information and assess the reliability of sources and information. With computational thinking, students learn how to use computer technology to help solve problems.
Bomberbot can be used with laptops, desktops, and tablets. The platform can be accessed via an internet browser, eliminating the need for installation. Chrome browser is recommended on Windows or Linux operating systems and for running the application on macOS, Safari browser is sufficient.
