There have been some hiccups, but nothing so severe that we have come to regret the decision/investment.

Now that we are in 'the cloud' customer service has taken a nosedive and it takes forever to updates installed.

It also turns out that it didn't work with our existing software  even when the vendors were listed as compatible on the Ellucian partner site.  

In the end the confusion and lack of understanding/ability from Ellucian consultants cost us tens of thousands of additional dollars during our deployment.

It also turns out that some of our 3rd party software would have worked, but we were told that it wouldn't.

The number of Financial Aid releases is challenging.   Plus, when we apply them we need to take our Banner Admin pages offline temporarily.  

The recent upgrades have made it much more user friendly and easier to navigate.

It would be better if the Financial Aid releases were isolated so that we could apply them without taking all of Banner down.

I love how it has most College Institutes available you can sign into your see your classes you are registered for how much you owe and order your your books from it.

I frequently use reports for tracking open invoices and running payments.

The online support community around this product is very active and is very helpful when you encounter issues, bugs, odd behavior, etc. (which is often).  

I find it now easier to use and easier to support (no more Java needed for the admin side!).

You can get phone number of your student advisor or anyone you might need to contact in regards to school.

Speaks a foreign language that you have to learn.

It’s a one stop shop for those who work at the university, instead of each department using their own software system.

Once you learn the terminology to search by, using the software becomes a lot easier.

It was a difficult system for me to learn and I couldn't find much training material for it.

Admissions Assistant

There is a high chance it is not working when you log on to use it.

Over all it's convenient to check up on your basic information for college.

It is simple for them to log on & see what is still needed.

However, there are flaws and it’s not the most user friendly.

This product is very commonly used in industry.

The biggest resolution we find with using Destiny One is generally to provide consistent reporting formats for multiple faculties providing Professional Development training.  

Note: with Daily revenue reconciliations it would be nice to have the report display the fee and tax separately with a grand total for the transaction.
