Jackrabbit Music have a great quality database with all the features we need which cuts down on administration labour - such as billing, pro rata, automatic reminder emails to customers, book your own makeup classes.

Our organization has been using Jackrabbit for class and lesson registration since 2017 and for music store sales since 2019.

The email client for sending out email messages has, in some cases, proved difficult as we try to send out branded emails to our student families.

It's the primary software that manages all the accounts for our Music School - scheduling and billing.

Jackrabbit works well as a basic CRM, but is especially good at keeping our lesson scheduled intact and for recurring billing.

That it's based on Active student count so we have to filter and monitor our lists every few months.

We are very happy with the product and after trying some different software to try and save costs, we ended up spending more on manual administrative tasks that Jackrabbit do automatically.

We find it cuts down our admin time so much with its automation and we missed the reports which are so good.

I will say that Jackrabbit does seem to be more geared towards group classes, like for dance or karate schools. But it suits our needs.

I'm not sure what the annual downtime is, but there have been a few outages throughout the year - maybe two or three each year.

We have come back to Jack Rabbit Music after leaving for a year to try different software.

The parent portal is also a game-changer, empowering our parents to easily notify us of changes and see their account, freeing up our staff for other tasks.

So I need to pull the absences/make-ups allowance report and go through each and every absence manually to ensure the correct end date and availability.

It’s easy to use and access the data base

Staff are very friendly, helpful, and readily available.

We have returned to this superior product.

So far, Jackrabbit Music has helped us achieve our goals in building our music program, however some times I feel like I spend more time trying to figure out how to finish a task than the task itself.

At that point we might switch to something more heavy duty like MindBody, which has definitively better and more user-friendly scheduling and billing capabilities; But that's something to reassess farther down the line.

I am unable to mark attendance for my instructors without having to be added to their class and accessing the portal.

Our music school does a lot of private lesson and the software just isn't set up for that which was the main reason we decided to switch.

I also enjoy that Jackrabbit tracks who's made the last change/edit to anything in the program so we can quickly resolve issues that arise.

I should be able to reschedule a one off lesson or cancel a lesson easily so that it reflects better on my calendar.

We run both private and group lessons and this is one of the few softwares that we can actually manage both on.

We still need a private lessons engine for scheduling and tracking attendance.

The online scheduling process isn't the best and the look of the software is pretty outdated.

Billing Specialist

There's a lot of gaps in my knowledge of how to set up certain payment automations that i'm sure I can do but it can be overwhelming.

Jackrabbit does a great job keeping track of some of the mundane things we were having to manually track for years.

We are ensuring that we are getting paid for the classes provided, and that we are paying our teachers appropriately.  

You can set up your website so that class is automatically pop up when you have them in jackrabbit!

Easy to create classes and modify them, easy to submit absences and makeups, easy to ring sales and add items to inventory

The credit on an account looks like a red delinquent amount and has confused many of our clients.

I love that this software was such an upgrade from what we were using before (Course storm), and that the price point is perfect for where we are as a program.
