Good platform that allows a good organization of the courses.
I liked the way the courses can be organized, the learning divided by topics and sections. The assignment of works is simple and in the same way it is the qualification and that the students receive the note.
It feels a bit old compared to other platforms like Google Classroom, it could be more dynamic.

No problems but we are discontinuing use this year as everyone is going to google classroom
I liked how easy it was to organize topics as units for my courses. I liked that I could hide units and assignments until I wanted them revealed.
There was a limit of size for my Powerpoints that the administrator in my building said could not be gotten around. Thus, for my powerpoints with lots of graphics, I could not load them up.

Overall, I really enjoy using Moodle over Google classroom for distant learning and supplement in-person learning.
Moodle allows for you to export item from different platforms and other classes. Moreover, we can change the settings to only allow students to see what we show them. Also, Moodle incorporates presentation software that allow for teachers to create tutorial.
There are several small things that I must do to make my classes run smoothly. Moreover, one must have some understanding of coding.

Overall, I'm a very happy user of the software, and will continue to use it during online learning and afterword.
I like that both the website and the app are super easy to use -- I always know exactly where to find info on assignments and lessons.
Nothing really, the functionality is a little limited compared to things like Google classroom, but it has enough to work well.

Great to have classes all in one place. However I think Google Classroom would serve the same purpose for zero cost and more convenience, being integrated with Google Suite.
I think Moodle is better from a professor's side than from a student's. It is great to have all your classes in one place.
Interface is unattractive and clunky. Too many steps.

The online learning was able to be done and sharing posts, however the messaging between users I didn't feel was all that easily done, outside of commenting on posts. It definitely works and didn't have any problems, just seemed "archaic" (for lack of a better word) to me.
The functionality of online learning is made easily accessible by Moodle. For sharing and submitting documents, prior to Google Classroom, Moodle was the answer.
I feel that Google Classroom, in today's environment, has surpassed Moodle. The visual appeal is rather clunky in my opinion and not as easy to view and use as Google Classroom. I will say, however, that I am a major proponent for Google as I use it daily, so the crossover is much easier. I have used Moodle for years but will likely not in the future unless there is some other updates that bring it more up-to-date.

Positive.
I used it a lot while working at the University of Albert in Canada. I used it as an Instructor and later, a few years down the road as an Advisor for newcoming international students. It was great when I needed to share a file with a group quickly or post homework. Also, once I had a course designed in Another LMS I would just host it there. It pretty convenient.
It’s not an independent straightforward LMS with complex content authoring tools or virtual classroom abilities.

Moodle was used as a form of managing classroom work
The fact that it allows for a streamlined and single-access-point format for university classes as a student and professor.
This program's GUI can be improved and occasionally the program will lag during exams or quizzes which is problematic.

There are many advantages, from virtual classes to re-teaching practices, exchange of opinions of interest among my students and my person as a teacher, allowing a continuous assessment of the contents seen.
I like the ease in the management, creation and design of your virtual classroom, allowing content coverage. The diversity of segments that can be incorporated to make the classroom a pleasant place for learning.
The only detail are the advertising windows in its free segment. However, it has turned out to be a very simple, practical and interactive virtual classroom for the learning of my students.

Excellent choice for making a virtual classroom, good for organizing resources
It's easy to use, you can organize the classes and all the resources like a webpage, easy also for managing communications
Some times less options is better, it can be confusing too many configuration options for the activities

Moodle definitely is not as user friendly as many other LMS's. It has a lot of functionality but can be confusing on the student end. I prefer Google Classroom because it is user friendly and can use alerts on your phone.
I used this program while at CSUN for my Master's program. It was convenient to be able to see all of your assignments and grades all in one place.
It was very easy to overlook assignment due dates with all the clutter. If there was a way to add notifications of upcoming due dates this program would have received a higher mark from me.

Great flexible platform that allows you to easily create classroom modules or trainings.
Free open-source classroom software that is flexible and has plugins available. Also, mobile app is available to connect to your Moodle classes.
Not too many free plugins. There is a slight learning curve and the initial setup can take some time if you are not using the hosted version.

I was a trainer for an online coding course in the past several months. It was really helpful for me to help the students practice and improve their coding skills. I used it together with google classroom and they integrate each other very well.
1.easy management of multiple students ( in my case, there were about 50 students practicing coding); 2.excellent real-time communication support between trainer and trainee; 3.Especially great support for online coding and debugging and review; 4.Excellent learning system because it can cover many subjects.
1. A little buggy, occasionally we got 'out of sandbox error' due to unknown reason. 2. UI can still be improved.

A great tool to be in contact with your teacher and classmates outside the classroom.
I liked to be able to discuss different topics with all my classmates, Be able to see my grades and all the information can be very well organized as per the categories.
It happened that when I needed to upload a homework, I needed to do 2 clicks (2 confirmations), I think it should be just one click to upload it.

I wouldn't recommend installing Moodle over other free solutions as they are easier to manage and integrate better with other systems.
I like that Moodle is open-source and is contributed to by the entire world. It allows our students and faculty to teach courses supplemented by online material in an effective manner. The fact that it is free-to-use, also doesn't hurt. Moodle can be used by our teachers to create tests, assignments, and courses that supplement in-classroom learning.
I think Moodle is a little outdated. It was quite popular ~5 years ago, but there are other simpler and easier to manage solutions out there (like Google Classroom) that function better. At some point, I would assume the education world is going to move away from Moodle to other solutions.

I liked that we could use it for multiple classroom applications: grading, class assignments, quizzes, tests.
It was not always very intuitive. It almost requires assigning a specific person to research how to create assignments and quizzes. This could create challenges for institutions with many separate departments.

It is a support tool for classroom courses and can be used for distance learning courses.
It allows interactions with students, but the interface is not very friendly. In addition, it is a free software, or Open Source. However, free software is not synonymous with zero cost. There are costs with the IT team, necessary to implement it, time to carry out the necessary customizations and investment in infrastructure.

We integrated it into our site to solve the virtual classroom for an online University
It has a ton of features and it's free, which makes it very appealing for small schools or businesses. I wouldn't recommend it for medium and large applications
My experience using Moodle hasn't been good. I found it hard to understand and the technology stack isn't ready for enterprise level. The UX could be streamlined as well. It's also not very developer friendly.

My experience has been very good as virtual classroom support and support for my students.
The widest of its functions to create your virtual classroom for free and functional, taking into account every detail of content from programming to the incorporation of content in videos, texts, images, diverse areas that allow the exchange of content among students of simple way
The only detail is the amount of advertising that is reflected in the content page where sometimes there is a lot of advertising content that hinders natural design.

well, I can recommend google classroom for teacher who use for distance learning with student during covid situations. teacher not require high knowledge to use google classroom. also student are able to get their lesson and material faster than moodle.
- fully integrated with the Google Features such as video, lesson, track answer, integrated to assignment as well. - work on all devices, smart phone, laptop, chrome book etc. easy for student to use. - Integrated with meeting as well for live training. - Live record with meeting and integrated to google classroom.
- less features than moodle, moodle can customized the detail features than google classroom.

It's not bad software, but it doesn't replace Moodle for academic purposes
It is an interesting tool for students to access the materials, it is also easy to use and has a mobile application

If you want a fast, reliable and easy to implement basic LMS, this is a no brainer. It doesn't have so many features as other LMS like moodle, but this is the price you have to pay for such a intuitive and easy to use system as this one.
Google Classroom is free, easy to setup and very intuitive. Its interface is adequate to use even with young children and it's a good solution to give classes via video conference. It let's you upload documents, assign tasks, all in one interface.
You don't have many options like moodle LMS or even some wordpress LMS, which can disappoint some people.

Google Classroom is currently making is possible for students across the nation to attend classes remotely while "safer at home" due to the emergency order initiated as a remedy for COVID-19. Students are able to interact with their teachers, peers, and submit assignments as well as improve their grades, all from the comfort of their own homes.
Depending on what type of academic setting you are, (i.e. elementary, middle school, high school, college, graduate study, etc.) CANVAS or Moodle may be more practical. It all depends on what functions will be used most.

I utilize this for my classroom with all of our online work that is done and submitted.
Having used Moodle during my schooling, Google Classroom, as with all the other Google products, provides an alternative at no cost, that, in my opinion, is better. Its user interface is easier and better looking, as well as the connectivity to Google Drive and other platforms.
Again, perhaps some changes to the main page of the classroom feed, but it is nice that it doesn't deter and take away from the information that is on the page.

It is an excellent tool for middle school or high school classrooms where technology is commonly utilized, however for higher education it would be best to implement premium, similar software.
It is an easy way for teachers to implement an "electronic classroom", in the sense that they can have assignments handed in online, send announcements, etc. On top of this, it is free, making it an excellent choice for teachers in systems that don't use/mandate other similar, more expensive options(such as Moodle or Canvas).
While it is free software, it is also quite bare-bones. There are very limited options outside of text announcements and assignment hand-in. Beyond this, any file formats outside of Google products (Docs, Slides, etc.) don't play nice with the service.
