Also, by having the ability to have video without leaving the nearpod presentation, then I don't have students venturing to other sites as we are going over the material.

Nearpod's slideshow presentations can be customized and easily shared on platforms such as Google Classroom.

I already have numerous presentations that I would love to use but can't with the free version. If you teach core classes there are a ton of ready made lessons to choose from, but I teach an elective so it is more limited.

Overall I love that I can have student interact and assess if they are grasping the material by adding questions throughout or other interactive activities.

It would be great if this were an option, so that teachers know their students can only access the website they choose.

Nearpod is not my favorite tool as a teacher, but it's still nice to be able to create interactive lessons for my students.  

Another complaint is a few times a week, students have trouble getting the app to connect.   Once students refresh, it usually fixes the issue.   But having 30 students having trouble is never good.

Students are really into gaming, so I have the option to "gamify" a lesson with gaming activities.

I asked them how they could take the lessons that I created on a paid subscription. If anything, they can prevent me from making new one but the ones that are created, I have already paid for, they are mine.

I don't like that the free subscription doesn't allow to use Google slides.

I love the ability to interact with various types of questions and formats.

It has been good do use during Covid closures and for virtual learners. Because it is student paced, students have been able to navigate it easily without additional instruction.

The free account is quite limited in functionality and features for frequent use or use with larger groups of students (like within a middle or high school).

It made it so easy to assign asynchronous lessons and we also used it to monitor our benchmark testing which was great.

Some competitors have more functions than it. But considering the simplicity, it is the best.

I am able to start off with Do Nows, Check for Understanding, Closing activities and Quizzes all in one place.

What I like the most about this software is that it is very helpful for me as a teacher-student in my demonstration teaching in an online setup.

There isn't much I don't like about Pear Deck, but there is one problem. When using the free version, there are only about 3 limited interactive tools at my disposal.

Pear Deck interfaces exceptionally well with both our Google Classroom and our Student Information System to enable us to provide a different tool for instruction for our students.

It’s easy to use and can be easily out in with existing slides.

I do understand that Pear Deck needs to make money somehow, but I would appreciate more interactive tools in the free version.

This program can be very cumbersome and works best if you have an iPad.

Google Slides are already so easy to use, and having a simple add-on that lets me ask questions and see the answers in real time makes Slides even more useful for learning.

It's got a lot of great features and isn't necessarily difficult to figure out, but require time and focus to do so.
