It was not scalable enough if you plan to mix subscriptions, coaching mentorings, 1:1 sessions, with private areas for individual students, etc.

The promotion felt misleading, and the billing and access issues have not been handled transparently.

We outgrew teachable and needed more features that we were able to find on another platform to better serve our growing community and platform.

I have used Teachable particularly for developing courses for adult, professional learners.

I cannot access my account despite of paying for a plan and them taking my money!

yet, I like it best for its rich features when it comes to building courses, particularly quizzes, certification and user-friendly dashboard.

They are good on pulling a misleading promo so kudus to their dishonest marketing!

Teachable’s platform gave no warning of potential fund holds, and their total silence has made it impossible to resolve the issue.

However, as our community and platform grew, we eventually needed more advanced features that Teachable couldn't provide.

You also don't have to worry about managing customer logins to your own website for security since all that happens on Teachable's system.

Which I may, it depends on pricing and roadmap.

One more thing, their transaction rates are really insane.

I have mostly used Teachable as a student and have enjoyed the process. As I noted in the "cons" section, it used to be difficult and confusing to set up your course access, but this appears to be fixed now. Once you had your course access set up, the rest was smooth sailing.

Until all work, time and design disappeared with no "save draft," or return to last edit, etc.

There is very little in terms of tracking student progress - the mail capability is lacking - I use separate softwares for emailing, customer management and even certification (zapier & mailerlite).

I think if I was just teaching for fun this might be a good platform for me but my students are moving through a process that needs to result in demonstrated mastery and the ability for me to present the information to them in an interactive way and the ability for them to complete evaluations and assessments with in the actual platform is really limited.

I can see individual students log ins and progress on individual courses - but overall unable to see for instance, a list of students that havent' logged in for a certain time period - I have to look at each student individually.
