Pros

Vena calculations are accurate and the financial data report building is excellent and the permission management capability is impressive and i also like the compliance easy management functions.
The payroll management and transaction tracking using Vena is excellent. The data analytics and budgeting is effective and i also like data integration capability.
What I like most is that Vena have interface like Excel, which makes it easy to create reports for our business. The interface is really great.

Pros

I like how easy it is to update my reports and slides using Cube. I appreciate how responsive the customer service has been.
I can’t say enough good things about Cube. From their customer service, to flexibility of the software - it is outstanding.
Huge kudos to the customer support team of Cube, they been extremely responsive and helpful in navigating our various system integrations.

Cons

As of now, I didn't find anything to be disliked.
There is only a primitive editor, and no result box that guides you. Our consultants told us do not even try because they seldom touch it.
In Vena, you can write simple code on the report to hide a column. In the same report you can use one or the other, or both, the results are reports with frustrating formatting quirks.

Cons

We have a ton of lines of data and only being to review through cube on a summary level can be a bit of a burden sometimes.
Integrating our model within Cube has been difficult.
Cube is a newer platform, and as such they're doing aggressive feature building. This means that some functionality has been impacted on occasion for a short period of time.

It has been good for forecasting and budgeting

Pros

Vena is good for integrating excel files and sharing them with the operations of the business. WOrkflows allow for easy delegation and tracking of tasks, and the data models allow for clean data storage.

Cons

Changes in templates that affect the Vena cube mapping can severely slow down the processing time of excel files.

We deployed Vena in 2020 as an ERP extension to our legacy system. Vena empowered sales metrics on the front end, financial project management in the middle, and financial reporting at the job level on the back end. We deployed a second "cube" data warehouse after the initial launch for financial reporting. Each deployment has worked as prescribed and brought extraordinary value to our construction company.

Pros

Vena has delivered huge value for us in a flexible package that can grow with our business effectively and efficiently. Vena let us keep our existing financial system and our customer Excel quoting apps. And built a reporting system on the back of Excel which everyone already knows. The road to value was fairly straightforward for us.

Cons

Vena is a toolbox of powerful opportunities. It is not an out-of-the-box accounting system. So you have to know exactly what you want out of Vena before deploying it. But this is true of any data warehouse. Knowing how data is to be extracted and presented requires upfront commitment and execution. Time spent in the planning phase will pay off 10X in the execution phase.
