There isn't a very large learning curve which makes it easy for experienced admins to jump right in.

Software updates generally result in problems and require IT involvement.

Every additional function eg MIPPS, Patient portal, EPCS, etc, laden with multiple extra charges.

It can be difficult to learn to use to due to its many features.
