Pros

Overall very positive experience with a good balance between ease of use and customizability.
My overall experience was very positive. As I mentioned above it is one of the better benefits software I have used in my career.
From what I’ve observed, Workday is a robust tool and is often considered the industry standard because it is effective at what it does, even though its usability could be improved.

Pros

I had previously used TruPay before coming to this company, so I found the transition to be extremely comfortable for me. I like the ease of use and ability to pull a variety of reports with ease.
The customer service for resolving issues is excellent as I am one of the individuals responsible for maintaining our system.
How easy we can run reports. There are a few more features that we like and user friendly.

Cons

More cons that pros, I'm afraid. The training was long, extensive and confusing.
Because of how much functionality is in the platform, I did get lost sometimes not knowing where to go.
The buttons are sometimes confusing. For example, submitting a request for vacation seems cumbersome as there are different buttons that seem to do the same thing displayed at the same time.

Cons

Another inconvenience is the lack of fingerprint login feature on phones. I also found it inconvenient that the website password has to be changed every 60 days.
We really have very few problems with it. There are a lot of options that we won't need or use so the Kronos Community site is a bit confusing.
During implementation, we were constantly told 'the system does not do that', or 'that can't be done. Out implementation process was terrible, and we still don't have everything working.

Migration to the new platform was well prepared by Workday standards. Review by Workday of the work of implementation Partner was helpfull. Enabling Business to configure Business Processes works

Pros

Functionality is good. Bugs get communicated and fixed fast. Issues in Production get as well proactively communicated. Many things are implemented you rarely see in other applications - it is SaaS ready.

Cons

reporting is good - but you have to know a lot to use the correct objects.

I'm able to select my benefits and enroll in everything with ease. I love how their is quick links to my companies polices readily available also.

Pros

When annual enrollment comes around, I receive a message in my inbox. I opened it up and I'm ready to start selecting my benefits. The UI is great. The response time is great. A+

Cons

I honestly do not have a single complaint. I've use this two years in a row and I love it. I feel any changes made at this point would be changing for the sake of change, not for an improvement.

I've used the Recruiting module for three years now, I can't help but wonder if the development team has involved an experienced recruiter when developing the module. I honestly don't think that Workday is ready to roll out to the market. If you are the decision maker consider buying this application, you really should include your recruiters' opinions.

Pros

The look and layout of the worklets are the only things I can praise about.

Cons

The business processes are too disconnected to count. The security level is so high up that a small change requires the product admin. (or whoever has the security level) to configure it at the backend. Pre-screening questionnaires must be pre-defined and pre-populated in the system - you can’t adjust the questions according to the requirements of each job at the time of Job Requisition creation. Very intuitive and easy to understand

This is a must-have tool in your business tool belt. The transparency, and breadth of the software is incredible. I don't know what I'd do without this, and though it took a little time for me to implement, I couldn't be happier that I did it.

Pros

I believe Workday is the industry standard for compensation software. It's flexible, easy to understand, and allows me to have transparent access to what I need. I can also see performance throughout the year, direct my attention to where it is needed, and make sure that I am on track with expenses. Since using the Workday Compensation ecosystem, there have been no more surprises on my end, and serious time has been saved.

Cons

Like any software, there is a bit of a learning curve, with this platform just be ready to spend some time getting it setup. This is so robust and what you can do in the software is quite expansive, so it takes a little bit of time to get the lay of the land, but once you do, you are more empowered and your admins and managers are more empowered because of this.

A great way to manage pay slips but lacking some functionality

Pros

It does a great job at consolidating payslips and allowing easy access to payroll information from multiple years and paydays. It's web based and the user interface is adaptive; so it works well on mobile devices too, easy to access and can be integrated with the enteprise single sign on (SSO) infrastructure.

Cons

When a user wants to print a payslip this is automatically generated by a background process and it is not displayed immediately. Instead, the user is told that a notification will be received within their Workday UI when the file is ready for printing/download in PDF. Now the problem is that this file is dynamically generated with the same name, every time. So if you need to download all your payslips from a certain year, you'll find that you have to rename 26 different files to be able to find the right one you need later.

This application has so much potential. The opening page of it is so user friendly. After that though everything gets so confusing. There are so many different windows that open and the site is really difficult to navigate. Half the time I want to find information, I get lost trying to find it and completely forget what I was looking for in the first place. Hopefully as time progresses they will find ways to integrate more user-friendly methods to use the information.

Pros

- Pretty UI - Convenient that all these things (Time-sheets, payslips, && Time off) are in the same place - Has tremendous potential

Cons

- Haven't found a way to contact the company to suggest improvements - After you submit a time-off request, no easy way to undo it. - After you have removed a time-off request, looking at PTO requests you see ALL of the actions you took (request time, remove time off request) && it isn't just for one day EX) A normal workday is split into two sections (before && after lunch). Overall, it has been a good software system for us. It is simple to use and set up (so i've heard) and it does a good job for what it was designed to do.

Kronos for time tracking

Pros

It has been a while since I used it but it seems like a good way to track and document your employees time cards for payroll

Cons

I used it as someone who would log in hours for my workday, PTO, etc. Overall the program is "just OK." When I used it a few years ago the interface seemed very archaic. You had to add extra lines to the grid if you wanted to add a PTO day which I thought was weird.

My Kronos Experience

Overall I think I remain very neutral in it all. There are many aspects of Kronos I like, as it has reduced some of our inefficiency's, but at the same time it has added some new ones as well. We decided to do a slow transition, region by region, and it seems to be working well for us.

Pros

Coming from using Workday - we like Kronos for many of its simple access tasks. We like how easy it is to search/find an employee, we like how the system has allowed us to combine our HR system with out payroll system. We have grown to also like the applicant tracking side, it has been a nice transition from using ICIMS.

Cons

The transitioning from our old systems to Kronos has been a bit of a struggle. We had a very low grade implementation team at the start of go live for us and eventually we had the entire team re-spun with new people. It was difficult enough for us to be concerned with transitioning systems let alone our implementation team changing entirely. We were promised many efficiency's to eliminate old inefficiency's and very little of that has actually happened.

Kronos - an excellent HCM software

We were tasked with the challenge of payroll management, accrual management just to name a few. These problems were all resolved by employing Kronos Workforce Ready as our central point of data storage and data management.

Pros

Kronos Workforce Ready is one of the best HCM software on the market in this category and does a pretty good job of managing data. It has a large set of very useful reports available to be exported in the most popular formats, has the option to customize reports to suite your needs and also you can schedule your reports to be sent or delivered to and email address at your convenience which really cuts...

Cons

The feature I like least about Kronos Workforce Ready is the manual accrual management feature available . You are tasked with real manual work whenever it comes to uploading hours for employees as there is currently no mass edit option available to apply hours across the board to all selected employees, instead you must load all selected employees into the bucket and scroll through them one by one and apply the credit and whatever other in formations are required to be filled in.
