The templates are a bit rigid so adapting the exam for each patient is difficult as you have to write in everybox for the template every time instead of being able to adapt a template to leave out or add in certain elements or body systems in individual medical records.

I figured out a way to get around this by adding all the vaccines and important preventive care items to my inventory as $0 items that are specified to be "for record-keeping purposes only", but it's a roundabout way of achieving this.

I love being able to make templates for medical notes (for example for cat spays) then fill in the blanks.

Currently my only thing right now is checking out with a patient that got a rabies certificate and the tag number not showing up even though we added it during check out.

The pop-up notes system has been inconsistent and makes it difficult to see patient alerts that could pose a danger to the patient or staff.

A better way to send clients a single list of all appointments would be huge since our clients come several times a week for months.

I also wish the integrated payments system were a bit easier to use; we’ve had to tighten our refund process, which has unfortunately led to some frustrated clients.

Also the integration from our old system did not go as planned, but that was not a daysmart problem, rather a problem with out old software that did not want to release the information.

The repeat appointment system is clunky and difficult to work with, especially when you need to move any of the appointments "in the chain" as we've come to call it.

We have to use a separate software for live communication with clients which does not log onto Day Smart.

The only thing I did not like was that I had to learn another type of software. But it has been so simple and they help in so many ways, chat, email, FAQs, and video library.

Only seem to have one option to remind clients about appointment which creates conflicts with Surgery and Drop offs scheduled as they list the time currently and we need those special appointment to come in with in certain time frames.

The best part for our clinic is being fully integrated with our schedule, timeclock, patient charts, labs, client communication, billing and card payments.

I used to have a 3 ring binder, which I used to keep track of printed emails and hand written notes, to keep track of  our software issues.  

Also, I really appreciate the integratation with other software platforms, which gives the ability to link lab results into pet profiles, and orders placed via Vetcove and some of the individual vendors are super easy to integrate into inventory.

Fair number of inefficiencies that have not been addressed yet so we have had to create a lot of work arounds to accomplish integral tasks.

I also loved the controlled drug log so that you don't have to keep track of controlled drug usage manually.

We may ask to have a feature like "easy in hospital communications board" that I have seen on another PMS but we will get a notification that Daysmart has added a new add on that would cost $x.xx that maybe no one asked for.  

Really like the ability to instantly add photo's to a patient chart that are sent via SMS message.

Customer support has been top-notch since day one. When I opened a second practice, I was really pleased that the software could handle multiple locations.

I am a relief doctor and work with several cloud based and computer based software and Daysmart beats them all.

They continue to add helpful features which is great. Since it is constantly being updated it doesn't get dated buuuttt just like many dynamic programs, recent updates can lead to big headaches.

Communications with clients through email or text are not as fluid and have some issues with obtaining remote signatures for estimates if someone is not on the Petcare app.

I also do EVERYTHING from my phone and this software lets me do that perfectly.

The mobile application of DaySmart is still in need of some work- it can be hard to pull up on the phone in the field.

I've recommended the software to other mobile providers because I very much value its efficiency and lower cost than "bigger" software programs.

The software is really customizable, and it's been a great way to make our practice more efficient.
