Pathfinder helps businesses with visualizing, planning, documenting, and managing cabling and assets within IT infrastructure. Pathfinder modules include network mapping, simple network management protocol (SNMP), work order management, and a graphics module for documenting networks with drawings.

The network mapping module includes an interactive network visualization tool to develop a display of the network area and all of its active elements, including their network depth. The network map will show several active devices in one view, as well as their line types and spatial connections. The drag and drop interface enables users to make changes to network components and layout algorithms. Scalable vector graphics (SVG) and AutoCad files can be imported using the Pathfinder graphics module to integrate network drawings.

With the Pathfinder SNMP query module, users can see a live view of the active technology of a network, as well as information such as port name, status, use of ports, and use of active components, which helps users find and eliminate LAN problems. The work order management feature enables maintenance and work orders to be planned, assigned, and documented, with access to view up-to-date progress of work orders. The software includes a record & run feature to provide a log of all changes being made to a network during work order or maintenance processes.
