What is SUSE Manager?
SUSE Manager is a Linux-compatible management tool for IT infrastructures from the cloud to containers. The program is offered as SaaS and is open source. Above all, it is intended to ease administrative overheads and control IT resources.
SUSE Manager allows the integration of connected Linux servers, IoT edge devices, and Kubernetes environments. The integration is location-independent and is even possible with public clouds and third-party data centers. The tool automatically provides secured operating system templates, such as bare metal, VM, or containers for servers or IoT devices.
The automatic patch management updates the server on the assigned software channels. Linux systems are graphically visualized by SUSE Manager and can be grouped into logical groupings based on tags. SUSE Manager creates compliance reviews and reports.
The software can track all hardware and software applications on a Linux network to ensure security guidelines are being followed. Based on user-generated security guidelines, it is also possible to monitor hybrid cloud and container infrastructures, which are non-compliant with secured profiles. This intends to enable security breaches to be identified and rectified.
