What is Cyclomedia?
Cyclomedia is a location intelligence platform designed to help businesses visualize physical environments. It uses real data collected by cars equipped with special cameras and light detection and ranging radar (LiDaR). The collected material is analyzed using artificial intelligence and can be downloaded to a database or visualized on-screen with the Street Smart viewer platform.
Location intelligence is used for urban planning and it makes it possible to remotely view situations via a unified platform. Cyclomedia can also automatically detect damage to road surfaces. In the transport sector, the system is used for the planning of routes for haulage transport. Employees can analyze the width of roads and height of viaducts and tunnels using high accuracy images and measurements, enabling them to plan correct routes.
With APIs, Street Smart viewer application can be used to display LiDaR point clouds and Cyclomedia images in proprietary applications. Developers need to request an API key from Cyclomedia website. The API key does not give access to images, as it requires a username and password.
