AIM AutoSys overview

What is AIM AutoSys?

AIM AutoSys is an automotive-specific solution for electronic data interchange and OEM compliance that automates data exchange, barcode labeling, advance ship notice creation and shipping processes for production part suppliers. The software integrates directly with enterprise resource planning platforms to manage the order-to-ship workflow while ensuring compliance with Materials Management Operations Guideline slash Logistics Evaluation and International Automotive Task Force standard sixteen thousand nine hundred forty nine. Developed with three decades of automotive industry expertise, the application serves suppliers shipping to major original equipment manufacturers including Honda, General Motors, Ford, Toyota and Stellantis. It provides visibility, automation and control required to meet complex supply chain requirements from release receipt through final delivery.

The core EDI integration capabilities support industry-standard communication formats such as X twelve, EDIFACT, Odette and VDA for seamless interactions with global OEM trading partners. Inbound transaction processing for planning schedules, shipping schedules, Kanban signals and purchase orders is automated by built-in business rules configured for more than four hundred fifty OEMs and sub-tier partners without custom mapping development. A functional acknowledgment monitoring dashboard identifies exceptions before they impact shipment schedules. The advance ship notice and shipping document functionality generates notices with customer-specific packaging logic, produces master packing lists, bills of lading and export forms and supports radio frequency identification container tracking for returnable packaging mandates while managing cumulative quantities in real time to prevent over-shipments and under-shipments.

The barcode labeling module supports Automotive Industry Action Group and OEM-compliant label formats including serial, master, mixed and destination labels with built-in logic for OEM-specific requirements such as Honda line-side and Toyota supply chain control system formats. Access to over eighteen hundred preconfigured templates enables on-demand printing during production or fully automated processes. The shipping and order management interface consolidates Kanban and release logic into a visual tool that allows shipments to be split, copied or edited to accommodate operational changes. Scanned items are validated against advance ship notice data to prevent shipping errors while the visual dispatcher tracks every load with real-time visibility into alerts, exceptions and delivery status.

Real-time dashboard functionality tracks shipment variances, EDI transmission status, shipping accuracy, customer releases, label usage and order fulfillment trends while highlighting discrepancies for timely corrective action. Mobility applications extend system functionality to the shop floor and shipping dock, capturing data in areas including shipping execution, labeling, inventory management, container movement and dock audits with support for OEM-specific packaging requirements. Integration with enterprise resource planning systems such as Epicor Kinetic, SAP and AIM Vision is achieved through the AIM Data Gateway, enabling bidirectional data exchange without middleware. A maintenance plan provides ongoing trading partner updates at no additional cost and ensures that label formats, EDI protocols and OEM requirements remain current.
