Leapwork overview

What is Leapwork?

Leapwork is an enterprise-grade continuous validation platform that combines no-code test automation, AI-powered capabilities, Playwright support, performance testing, and governance tooling. QA teams, business analysts, and non-technical users build, schedule, and execute end-to-end automation flows across web, desktop, ERP, SaaS, mobile, mainframe, and API environments without writing code. Deployment options include on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid configurations, with hybrid models supporting an on-premises controller paired with cloud agents, or a cloud controller with remote agents requiring no VPN. The platform is also available via Azure Marketplace.

The visual no-code flow builder uses drag-and-drop blocks, and an AI-powered Smart Recorder captures desktop and web interactions to accelerate flow creation. Reusable subflows reduce maintenance overhead for common tasks such as login and navigation. Parallel test execution runs across environments, browsers, and devices, with scheduling available via time triggers, manual initiation, or REST API. AI Automation Blocks extend coverage with capabilities including AI Vision Validate for UI, PDF, and screenshot validation; AI Vision Extract for key data extraction from visual elements; AI Action for follow-up actions based on AI-generated insights; AI-powered test data generation; and AI-generated response comparison. CoPilot Investigation Analysis delivers AI-generated failure diagnosis to accelerate root cause identification. Playwright test building is supported with added governance, reporting, approvals, and self-healing. Native Azure DevOps integration synchronizes test cases and test plans, while integrations with Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, and LambdaTest extend cross-browser and cross-device execution. SSO is supported via Auth0 and Okta, with role-based access control and Active Directory support.

Leapwork targets large enterprises in financial services, life sciences, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, logistics, and technology sectors. Enterprise governance features include tamper-proof audit logs, video recording of all automation runs, customizable visual dashboards, and freeze run list capabilities, supporting compliance-sensitive industries with structured reporting and access controls. The platform scales regression testing across complex, interconnected application ecosystems and integrates into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery workflows.
