What is EPLAN Electric P8?
EPLAN Electric P8 is an electrical design solution which supports 2D computer aided engineering for the creation of schematics and circuit diagrams. The software supports a variety of engineering methods including manual creation, template-based and standardized approaches. Electric P8 automatically generates detailed evaluations as a component of project documentation, with options for ongoing or post-completion combined evaluation as required.
EPLAN Electric P8 allows users to choose between design approaches including graphical, logical, and device-oriented to support their different work processes. Autoconnecting enables instant logical connection of circuit symbols to increase the speed and quality of schematic design, and up to 26 variants of a system or circuit can be saved for each of the 12 representation types. Reports including terminal and wire diagrams, and bills of materials (BOM) are automatically created for use in downstream project phases. Users can also edit mass data with the “Search and Replace” and “Edit in Excel” functions, and generate schematics in multiple languages with support for global design standards.
