Pros

The overall use of this product is amazing, very easy to use and my clients love it. The love the fact that they can do edits themselves.
It's good for what it is, which is a basic website maker that has the ability to make very function, nice looking pages.
Love that Squarespace introduced me to web design due to its ease of use. Templates are as great as Wix and both are really great competitors to one another.

Pros

Drupal offers a wealth of themes and modules that make it possible to create almost any type of website, all backed by its robust and secure security system.
I heard about CMS in the early 2000"s and in 2004 about Drupal. It's more powerful than other CMS, beacuse not so fancy but powerful, secure and stable.
Super customizable, love the features available, love the development community overall, and I really enjoy the updates in Drupal 8.

Cons

The options are limited. Editing pages can be difficult because everything needs to be dragged and dropped into place, but most of the time all of the other blocks will shift during editing.
One of my colleagues who is taking over for me, really disliked how the Squarespace template prevented any changes. He contacted Squarespace and with their assistance was able to break the template.
The flip side is that Squarespace has few if any bugs, while Wix and Weebly can get strange errors in my experience.

Cons

One being no visibility on the road map of the product that makes it difficult to take investment decisions and second is lack of customer support on the go.
Overall, my experience with Drupal was terrible.
Lack of development knowledge to the resources. It lacks in the marketing.

Squarespace

My favorite website creation software

Reviewed 8 years ago

I've used Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress and many other CMS platforms but honestly after switching to Squarespace I will never go back. If they could add a few more features it would be perfect.

Squarespace

Best logo designing content management system ever

Reviewed 7 years ago

It provides preloaded templates which reduces the time of development for the professional website. It also has a starter plan which provides twenty pages for the website which are pretty enough for a basic professional website. Google services makes it easy publishing website and the newsletters are easy to mail by Gmail for professional.

Pros

Customer gets one year paid subscription of G suite and it gives cutting edge logo which a business can ever expect. After working with a development team which uses this product for my company, I feel it is best product available in market.

Cons

However there are few cons like customer support is not very good and the product is priced on higher side. It lacks some basic features offered by blogger and drupal.

Squarespace

I hat e to admit it's a good solutoin

Reviewed 6 years ago

I drug my feet and gnashed my teeth for a long time about Squarespace and as a developer I'd still rather build a site using Wordpress or Drupal, but Squarespace is undeniably and solid and very good solution for individuals and small businesses looking to build a great looking brochure website.

Pros

It's very easy to get a solid looking personal website up and running with just about ever feature that most users could need. No need for developers or web designers.

Cons

It kind of makes web developers obsolete for brochure type sites

Every Creative Needs Squarespace As Their CMS

Reviewed 7 years ago

Beautiful themes, loads of forums and admin articles when I'm in a bind, there is not a CMS out there that is more user-friendly than SS.

Pros

Ease of use. Bar none. My wife and I started a wedding videographer business and Squarespace is perfect for us. Having a background in working in digital marketing and advertising agencies, Squarespace was foreign to me because we typically built on WordPress or Drupal. But now that I've discovered SS, I'll never go back. Whether it's creating new pages, blog content, or changing headers and copy for SEO purposes - I'd suggest to every creative to start with SS as their CMS.

Cons

Could use more functionality. I'm not a coder, and I never will be. BUT, I can say there were times in the past when I was helping write for WordPress site when I could insert a plug-in or have a developer edit the site to our liking. Apparently something like 20% of the Internet is built on WordPress, and I don't doubt that. SS lacks the enormous community that WP users have as well as a million plug-ins and themes to choose from - however I would never switch from SS because it will always support my lack of "coderness" I need to be able to properly build a beautful WP site.

Drupal

Very user-friendly CMS for non-technical content managers

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Knowing that I have to maintain our website and not having any sort of background in HTML, CSS, ASP, etc. is less of an issue now that I've learned the ins and outs of Drupal. Due to the popularity of the platform, there are ample resources online to take advantage of in learning the platform.

Cons

I find it very easy to use on a daily basis but it did have a learning curve at first and is definitely less easy to pickup at first then say Squarespace or Weebly was.

Drupal

I work for a Drupal web development shop

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Drupal is an open-source CMS that works well when set up correctly. I've seen a lot of websites that have been built by developers that have never worked with Drupal before, and then the end result can sometimes be a nonsensical nightmare, especially for the content administrators. Drupal has the ability to create custom built websites with powerful integrations to countless other platforms, and it can really shine when Drupal experts handle the builds.

Cons

Drupal still has quite a learning curve, even with a customized back-end. People who are used to Wordpress or Squarespace don't find it as intuitive, and without proper training, creating and publishing content properly is difficult.

Drupal

My preferred website builder

Reviewed 6 years ago

We built our second iteration of our website with Drupal, after being on Wordpress. I've since worked with the latest Wordpress again and I really prefer Drupal. I recommend it for any new clients and try to take its free lessons online regularly so I'm always current on new features. I feel also that Drupal is superior in security.

Pros

THe flexibility of Drupal while it is still user-friendly wins every time. Other sitebuilders like WP and Webflow are extremely feature rich, but harder to use day-to-day. Simpler builders like Wix and Squarespace are great for newbies, but not as flexible. Drupal floats that line so anyone can use it but experts can make so much more of it. And it's free!

Cons

Image sizing did kind of limit us with our blogs - there were strict requirements on aspect ratio that I didn't find very helpful. However, that may have since been resolved or a limitation we placed on ourselves for consistency.
