Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Angular overview
What is Angular?
Angular is a web development framework maintained by Google, designed for building modern, fast, and reliable web applications. It provides a broad suite of tools, APIs, and libraries that scale with both team size and codebase size, making it suitable for individual developers and large enterprise engineering teams alike. Deployment options include client-side rendering, server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and hybrid rendering, with compatibility across cloud hosting providers including Firebase App Hosting and Google Cloud.
The framework is built around a component-based architecture that enforces well-encapsulated code separation, paired with a fine-grained reactivity model using Signals and compile-time optimizations. Key capabilities include a dependency injection system for cross-component code sharing, a feature-rich router with guards, data resolution, and lazy-loading, and a standardized form validation system. The Angular CLI uses a fast build pipeline powered by Vite and esbuild, supporting projects with hundreds of thousands of lines of code. Additional developer tooling includes Angular DevTools (a browser extension with component tree inspection, dependency injection tree view, and performance profiling flame charts), an IDE language service for real-time diagnostics and refactoring, and template hot module replacement. Zoneless change detection, stable as of v20.2, reduces bundle size and improves runtime performance and debuggability. Incremental hydration limits JavaScript loaded upfront, and automated migration via ng update reduces friction across major version upgrades.
Angular also addresses security at the framework level, with built-in HTML sanitization and trusted type support providing default protection against XSS and CSRF vulnerabilities. Internationalization support with ICU syntax, Progressive Web App (PWA) support via a service worker library, and the Angular Material UI component library round out the feature set. For teams integrating AI capabilities, Angular provides starter kits, example code, and recipes for connecting to Firebase AI Logic, the Vertex AI Gemini API, Imagen API, Google Genkit, and the Gemini API for multimodal input. Every framework commit is tested against hundreds of thousands of tests in Google's internal repository, and development direction is guided by a public roadmap and RFC process open to community input.
