BabelCast overview

What is BabelCast?

BabelCast is a cloud-based, browser-based live speech translation platform designed for organizations running one-to-many events with multilingual audiences. A speaker's live audio is transcribed, translated, and converted to natural-sounding synthesized speech in near real-time, delivering simultaneous captions and translated audio to each listener's mobile browser across up to 10 languages at once. No app installation, listener account, or dedicated hardware is required for speakers or attendees.

BabelCast targets verticals including hospitality, logistics, construction, corporate training, and religious organizations. Supported use cases span staff briefings, safety briefings, onboarding and compliance training, conferences, lectures, church services, and shift meetings. Listeners join via QR code or short link, independently select their preferred audio and caption language, and can switch languages mid-session. Each target language is processed independently, so adding languages does not increase latency for other language streams. Full-screen caption display is available for venue screens, and the display view is compatible with OBS and ProPresenter as a browser source. Natural-sounding male or female translated voices are available per language. Glossary support for locking in names, brands, and terms, as well as voice cloning, are listed as forthcoming features.

BabelCast is billed by source-hour with no per-listener metering, and pricing tiers ranging from pay-as-you-go to a Scale membership make it accessible for small teams through larger recurring-event operators. Publicly listed pricing requires no sales call. Compared to human interpreters or enterprise translation platforms, BabelCast delivers multilingual audio and caption delivery at a significantly lower cost, with setup achievable in minutes.
