Bisq is a decentralized peer-to-peer trading network that facilitates the buying and selling of bitcoins for national currencies, digital tokens from other blockchains, and other cryptocurrencies.
Bisq is not an app or a website; it's a desktop application that can be downloaded and installed on any computer. When launching the program, it connects to the other computers running Bisq software on the network. When the users have something to sell or buy, they can post an offer on the network—including how much money or cryptocurrency they want to spend, who they're selling to or buying from, which currency (if any) will be used for the transaction, and other details about the trade.
