Boekmee overview
What is Boekmee?
Boekmee helps schools and small libraries spend less time on lending administration and more time on reading. Teachers, parent volunteers, reading coordinators and librarians use the online system to lend books, record returns and pass a returned book straight on to the next reader. They can see which books are available, who has borrowed them and which loans are overdue.
Manage pupil groups and multiple collections in one school account. Find books by title, add new books using a phone camera and view collection-use statistics. Optional weekly emails provide an overview of overdue books by group. Schools can use their own logo, colours and group names.
For libraries and school boards, an organisation account brings multiple schools together. Manage and distribute shared collections, rotate collections between schools and view loans and statistics per school.
Boekmee runs in a browser on computers, tablets and smartphones, without installing software. A pupil’s name and group are sufficient to record a loan. Annual licences include initial setup, migration, help desk support and help with the yearly transition of pupil groups. A public online demo is available.
