Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Browser Rules overview
What is Browser Rules?
Browser Rules is a browser extension and cloud-based admin console that governs file uploads and paste actions in managed Chrome and Edge environments. Upload policies intercept each file at the moment of selection, drop, or paste — before the destination website can read the content — and apply warn, block, or audit actions based on destination website and file type. Deployment requires no proxy, certificate infrastructure, or device onboarding; the extension is distributed via Intune, Google Admin, or Group Policy, and policy changes published in the admin console reach browsers within minutes.
Browser Rules maintains a built-in, continuously updated list of AI assistant websites used to match upload and paste policies. Administrators can warn or block uploads to AI tools broadly while maintaining an allow-list for approved AI services, giving organizations granular control without restricting all AI tool use. Per-user and per-group policy targeting, ready-made rule templates, and custom warning messages with links to internal AI policy documentation support structured rollout. A privacy-safe audit log records file name, size, and destination website — never file content — providing visibility into which AI tools staff use before enforcement rules are applied. Browser Rules is free for up to 50 users, making it accessible to small and mid-sized businesses as well as larger organizations managing data governance across Chrome and Edge fleets.
