BuilderKit overview

What is BuilderKit?

BuilderKit is a cloud-deployable, modular Next.js boilerplate and starter kit engineered for developers and indie hackers who need to ship AI-powered products fast. It includes 17 pre-built AI applications, covering use cases such as image generation, chat interfaces, transcription, and code tools, alongside production-ready integrations for authentication, payments, and database management. Each module is independently configurable, allowing teams to include only the components relevant to their product without restructuring the codebase.

BuilderKit is designed to eliminate repetitive setup work across common SaaS infrastructure layers. The stack is built on Next.js with Tailwind CSS for styling, Supabase for backend and auth, and Stripe for billing, with OpenAI and Replicate integrations pre-wired for AI functionality. Deployment targets include Vercel and other Node-compatible cloud platforms. The architecture follows a modular pattern, meaning individual AI app modules, UI components, and API routes can be added, removed, or extended independently. This makes it suitable for solo developers prototyping new ideas as well as small teams building commercial SaaS products on a compressed timeline.
