Code Studio overview

What is Code Studio?

Code Studio is an AI-powered code editor and enterprise development platform that pairs a downloadable desktop IDE with a cloud-based enterprise server. It supports the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and planning through code generation, testing, review, and delivery. Five AI interaction modes, autocomplete, chat, edit, agent, and plan, give development teams flexible control over how AI participates in the workflow. An agentic project manager orchestrates AI agents through structured SDLC stages, with support for parallel agent execution across multiple workstreams simultaneously. A built-in UI builder converts plain-English prompts or screenshots into production-ready UI code using over 1,600 pre-tested components, reducing the volume of net-new code written from scratch.

On the infrastructure side, Code Studio supports multi-provider LLM connectivity with no vendor lock-in, connecting to OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Cohere, OpenRouter, or self-hosted local models via Ollama or LM Studio under a bring-your-own API key model. Local and air-gapped LLM execution is supported for organizations with strict data privacy requirements. The enterprise server provides centralized user and team management, SSO via Microsoft, GitHub, or Syncfusion, role-based access control, audit logging, per-user and per-team budget controls, usage dashboards, fallback routing with retry policies, and analytics covering token usage, costs, latency, and success rates.

Code Studio targets enterprise software development teams of all sizes. A free community tier covers individuals and teams of up to five developers, with additional no-cost access for existing Syncfusion license holders managing teams of up to 100 developers. Paid tiers scale to organizations with 600 to 1,000 developers. By consolidating requirements, planning, coding, testing, and review into a single environment, Code Studio eliminates fragmented tooling and reduces context switching across the development workflow.
