Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Codespect overview
What is Codespect?
Codespect is a cloud-based AI code review tool that installs as a GitHub App and automatically analyzes pull requests, posting structured feedback directly in GitHub. Setup requires no self-hosting, no migration, and completes in approximately 15 seconds. Designed for software development teams and individual developers using GitHub for version control, Codespect is specialized for Laravel (including Eloquent patterns), React (hooks conventions), Vue (composition API), Blade, Livewire, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Free for public repositories; a paid plan is required for private repositories.
Codespect delivers automated PR summaries covering what changed, why it matters, and a file-by-file breakdown, giving reviewers immediate context before examining diffs. Line-by-line review comments are categorized by severity: critical, warning, or nitpick. Framework-specific AI models detect the active technology stack and apply the most accurate model for that context, catching issues that generic AI models miss. Incremental re-review logic tracks prior feedback and analyzes only new changes after each push, preventing repeated or low-value comments. Each comment includes an AI Prompt Fix, a ready-to-paste prompt compatible with Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding assistants, alongside suggested code fixes with diffs applicable directly in GitHub. Resolved comment tracking automatically confirms when a previously flagged issue has been addressed.
Repository-level configuration supports custom review rules and a configurable review tone ranging from strict to relaxed. On the privacy side, only PR diffs are read during analysis; diffs are deleted immediately after review and source code is never stored or logged.
