Componentskit overview

What is Componentskit?

Componentskit is an open-source UI component library for iOS, written in Swift and fully compatible with both SwiftUI and UIKit. It provides a catalog of animated, production-ready UI components — including buttons, alerts, inputs, loaders, badges, avatars, avatar groups, cards, sliders, segmented controls, circular progress indicators, radio groups, text inputs, and dividers — that iOS developers can integrate, customize, and maintain across any iOS codebase. Components are configured through view model-based, declarative APIs, and a built-in theming system supports customization of colors, fonts, layout, and animation styles. UIKit projects can observe theme changes via NotificationCenter.

Componentskit targets indie iOS developers and development teams building new apps or enhancing existing ones with Swift, SwiftUI, or UIKit. The free open-source tier delivers the full component catalog with dual-framework support, meaning each component functions in both SwiftUI and UIKit without duplication. A Pro tier, available via one-time lifetime purchase or annual subscription, adds 30+ full-page SwiftUI templates covering common app screens: paywalls, authentication flows (login, sign-up, password reset), settings pages, and user profile pages. Pro templates are delivered as copy-paste code with full customization support and can be embedded in UIKit projects via UIHostingController.

The library is distributed for direct integration into iOS app projects, with no lock-in to a proprietary build system. Its consistent API and lightweight architecture are designed to fit into existing codebases with minimal friction, reducing the UI boilerplate overhead that typically accompanies iOS app development. The Pro template tier addresses high-effort, high-frequency screen types, lowering build time and cost compared to constructing those screens from scratch.
