Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

DitaExchange overview
What is DitaExchange?
When a regulation changes, every procedure and manual that quotes it has to change too, and an auditor will ask who approved each version. DitaExchange makes that manageable without moving your teams to a new editor.
DitaExchange is a component content management system (CCMS) that works inside the Microsoft 365 tenant you already run. Experts write in Microsoft Word. Content is stored in SharePoint, under the security, identity and data residency your IT team has already approved. Behind the scenes, each rule, procedure step and paragraph becomes a component based on the DITA open standard, with its own ID and version history.
Write a clause once and reuse it in every manual, edition and language. When it changes, see every document that uses it, update it in one place and publish again to Word, HTML or XML.
The platform has four parts: Dx5 for management, approval workflows and publishing in SharePoint; DxAuthor+ for structured authoring in Word; DxChecker for automatic quality rules on terminology, dates, metadata and wording; and DxMigrationTool to bring existing Word, HTML and Markdown documents in as structured topics.
Regulators use DitaExchange to write and publish rules: the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has done so since 2018. Regulated organisations in aviation, defence, nuclear and finance use it to keep their own procedures linked to the rules they implement. You can start with the documents you have today and add structure step by step.
