Why MEGA accounts fill up with duplicates

Deep Scan matches by content fingerprint, so it also finds renamed and re-saved copies and identical files stored in different folders. This makes it the right choice for photo libraries, pre-migration audits, and anything you cannot afford to get wrong. Built-in safety

Every duplicate group is shown with path, size, and date before anything changes. Nothing is ever deleted automatically. Removed files move to your MEGA Rubbish Bin instead of being permanently deleted, and can be restored through MEGA. You can limit a scan to specific folders and leave sensitive ones out entirely. An activity log records every scan and removal with a timestamp, so you always know what changed and when.

Privacy
