Exploscope keeps two things in order on a site with an explosive atmosphere: the state of the explosion protection document, and the permits that are open today.

The document, section by section

The document has parts it must contain: the inventory of explosive atmospheres, the zone classification, the ignition source analysis, the technical and organisational measures taken, equipment suitability, coordination, and the update record. Each part carries a status — present, missing, needs updating — with an owner and a date, and the whole shows a completion percentage.

Updates are triggered by events, not by memory: a process change, a new substance, new equipment, an incident.

The hot work permit book

The job and its location and zone, the hours it is valid, the gas readings entered from the instrument (%LEL, O2, toxic), the measures taken, the fire watch, who issued it and who received it, and the check after the work is done.

The open-permits screen warns before a permit runs out and shows an unclosed permit in red.

Paper when someone asks

The permit form and the document status report come out as PDF, and periods are archived.

What it does not do — said on screen, not only here

It does not produce the explosion protection document. It follows the preparation of one. The document is written by a competent person and approved by the employer.

The permit form does not replace the site's own form; the site's form governs and the app keeps the record.

Gas measurement is not performed by the app: values are read from a calibrated instrument and entered.

This is not a substitute for an engineering assessment, a measurement, or a competent person's decision.
